fix(native): report why an unclassified Codex turn failed (#16354)
<!-- Write all pull request text in Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100): short sentences, one instruction per sentence, simple approved vocabulary, and the active voice. --> ## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work > - Native runs use the Paperclip runner to drive a provider session, for example the Codex app server > - When a Codex turn fails, two classifiers look for known failures: a model rejection and a server capacity failure > - When no classifier matches, the run fails with the generic message `Native session failed` and the error code `adapter_failed` > - The run failure report to Sentry then has no data about the cause, because the server drops the Codex `codexErrorInfo` value > - This pull request records a closed-vocabulary diagnostic for that failed turn and sends it to the Sentry `provider_failure` context > - The benefit is that operators can see which Codex failure kind causes these generic failures, and then write a targeted fix ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** Hosted staging reports many run failures with the title `Error: Native session failed`. The events have `agent_adapter=paperclip_runner`, `error_code=adapter_failed`, `driverKind=codex_app_server`, and `exitCode=1`. The events do not show why the Codex turn failed. **Expected behavior** A run failure report for a failed Codex turn shows the failure kind, so that an operator can find the cause. The report must not contain provider response text, prompts, or model names. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Start a native Codex run. 2. Make the Codex app server end the turn with `status: "failed"` and an error that is not a model rejection or `serverOverloaded`. For example, use `codexErrorInfo: "contextWindowExceeded"`. 3. Look at the Sentry event for the run failure. Before this change, the `provider_failure` context is empty. **Agent adapter(s) involved** Codex (native runner, `codex_app_server` driver). ## What Changed - `native-provider-failure.ts`: The provider failure observation now records a diagnostic for each failed Codex turn. The diagnostic has only closed values: `provider: "codex"`, `category: "turn_failed"`, a known `CodexErrorInfo` kind (or `unrecognized` / `absent`), an HTTP status from 100 to 599 for the HTTP variants, and a runner failure code from an explicit allowlist of the codes the runner itself writes on a failed Codex turn (any other string becomes `unrecognized`, because a provider error object can carry its own `code`). It never copies the provider message. - New `unclassifiedTurnFailure()` gives this diagnostic only for a failed terminal turn that `forTerminal()` does not classify. `forTerminal()`, error codes, error messages, retries, and finalizer decisions do not change. - New `readNativeTurnFailureDiagnostic()` rebuilds a persisted value from the closed vocabulary and rejects all other values. - `native-session-executor.ts`: The adapter result keeps the generic message. It adds `resultJson.nativeTurnFailure` when the turn failure is unclassified. - `run-failure-diagnostics.ts`: The run failure report copies the validated diagnostic into the `provider` context. Sentry sends this as `provider_failure`. - Tests: unit tests for the vocabulary, HTTP status bounds, unknown kinds, runner codes, and privacy; a diagnostics test; and an update to the end-to-end executor test for the `unknown-error` scenario. ## Verification - `pnpm exec vitest run src/services/native-runtime/native-provider-failure src/services/__tests__/run-failure-diagnostics.test.ts src/services/__tests__/run-failure-report*.test.ts src/__tests__/sentry*.test.ts` (in `server/`): 6 files, 432 passed, 5 skipped. - `pnpm exec vitest run src/services/native-runtime/native-session-executor.test.ts` (in `server/`): 698 passed. - I could not run the full `tsc --noEmit` in my sandbox: the memory limit stopped the process, and the runner vendor build needs `cargo`. CI runs the full typecheck. - To check by hand: make a Codex turn fail with an unclassified error. Then make sure that the Sentry event `provider_failure` context shows `category: turn_failed` and the `codexErrorInfo` kind, and no provider text. ## Risks - Low risk. The change adds diagnostic data only. Run status, error code, error message, retry, and finalizer logic do not change. - Privacy: the diagnostic uses an allowlist of Codex enum names, a bounded integer, and an allowlist of runner-issued failure codes. Tests make sure that provider text does not get through. - If Codex adds a new `CodexErrorInfo` kind, the diagnostic shows `unrecognized` until the allowlist gets the new kind. - This change does not fix the root cause. It gives the data that is necessary to find the cause. ## Model Used - Claude Opus 5.5 (`claude-opus-5-5`), Anthropic, used through Claude Code with tool use (shell, file edit, test runs). ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either (a) linked existing issues with `Fixes: #` / `Closes #` / `Refs #` OR (b) described the issue in-PR following the relevant issue template - [x] I have not referenced internal/instance-local Paperclip issues or links (only public GitHub `#NNN` / `github.com/paperclipai/paperclip` URLs) - [x] My branch name describes the change (e.g. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [ ] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [ ] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge Related: #15347 (capacity classifier), #15304 (model rejection diagnostics). 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) --------- Co-authored-by: devinfoley <139239+devinfoley@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(voice): add experimental Speko task connection runtime (#15727)
First PR: runtime. UI: #15728. Qualification: #15729.
## Thinking Path
> - Paperclip manages agent work through tasks and governed connections.
> - Chat connections already bind external conversations to those tasks.
> - Speko handles voice and telephony, while the selected Paperclip
agent does the work.
> - A call needs durable session authority, ordered follow-ups, and safe
result delivery.
> - This PR adds an explicit voice transport to the existing connection
runtime.
> - The UI and qualification suites follow in linked PRs. Speko stays
experimental.
## Linked Issues or Issue Description
**Problem or motivation**
Phone and browser voice conversations cannot use the chat connection
task lifecycle. A separate voice runtime is needed to preserve task
authority, retries, and reply history.
**Proposed solution**
Add company-scoped voice sessions, signed callbacks, durable replies,
inbound intake, and an agent-facing outbound-call tool. Reuse existing
tasks, queues, secrets, and publications.
**Roadmap alignment**
This extends the experimental chat connector entry points under Agent
Chat and Connected Apps. The project owner requested this feature.
Refs #11418 for the original provider catalog proposal. This
implementation uses the newer chat connection infrastructure rather than
an MCP catalog-only integration. Refs #15721 for remote OpenCode
startup.
## What Changed
- Add additive voice schema, shared contracts, session APIs, and
provider callbacks.
- Bind browser, inbound, and outbound sessions to an endpoint, task, and
selected agent.
- Add low-trust guest intake in an explicitly selected sandbox and keep
ordinary approval rules.
- Submit task work through session-scoped tools and push approved
replies through Speko POST /v1/calls/{id}/messages.
- Distinguish provider acceptance from confirmed spoken playback.
Reconcile reports without downloading recordings.
- Add protocol, migration, persistence, provider, and
delivery-diagnostic tests.
## Verification

fix(recovery): preserve accepted workspace finalization during reaping (#15718)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - A native run saves its accepted result before it copies workspace changes back. > - A restart can leave that copyback under an unverified physical owner. > - The generic orphan reaper can mistake the exited provider for lost work and release the source lease. > - Recovery must preserve the accepted result and let the existing finalizer settle its remaining work. > - This pull request checks that authority at the conditional process-loss write and preserves the matching recovery hold. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Related: #15475 added bounded process-loss evidence. The earlier #9687 addresses dead-run finalize barriers with synthetic receipts. This change preserves an existing accepted native result and requires real workspace settlement. **What happened?** After a server restart, the native finalizer required operator verification of unfinished copyback. The generic orphan reaper then marked the run `process_lost` and released its source lease. A new execution path also made the recovery reconciler clear the copyback hold before physical ownership was verified. **Expected behavior** An accepted result bound to the same company, issue, and run keeps its unfinished workspace suffix under native finalization. The generic reaper must not discard its source. The existing finalizer must still complete the work, apply its bounded failure policy, or require operator verification. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Accept a native result and leave its coordinator in `workspace_finalizing`. 2. Stop the controller before copyback completes, leaving its physical owner receipt. 3. Start recovery, then run the generic orphan and lease cleanup sweeps. 4. Before this change, the run can fail with `process_lost` despite its accepted result and explicit copyback hold. **Paperclip version or commit** Reproduced against `011e5669`; the same recovery code remains at base `1602512820`. **Deployment mode** A hosted server with PostgreSQL and native runner execution. The tests use only isolated local PostgreSQL and synthetic fixtures. ## What Changed - Check the exact accepted result and `workspace_finalizing` coordinator before generic process-loss cleanup. - Repeat the check in the conditional status write. Compare the heartbeat tuple version to reject a result publisher that commits while the update waits on its row lock. - Preserve nonterminal copyback holds when another execution path appears. Resolve only the matching run's hold after verified finalization commits. - Add fourteen real PostgreSQL service regressions and document the recovery boundary. ## Verification - `pnpm -r typecheck` passed. - `pnpm exec vitest run server/src/__tests__/heartbeat-process-recovery.test.ts -t 'native finalization'`: 14 passed. The test filter excluded 383 existing tests. - Tests cover startup, repeated reaper and cleanup sweeps, malformed and foreign owners, an expired old controller, exact database bindings, legacy and unsupported states, verified settlement, and unchanged terminal-task dispositions. - The concurrent publisher test uses the real accepted-result transaction and proves the reaper update is blocked by its row lock before the publisher commits. - The local `pnpm test:run` aggregate was stopped after setup timeouts in the chat and tool-access files and a damaged-epoch Runner test failure. It is not a full local pass. - The chat file passed all 1,145 tests when run alone. The tool-access file then passed 419 of 420; one case returned `socket hang up`. That single case passed on its isolated rerun. The cause of the socket failure is not established here. - The damaged-epoch Runner case still fails locally at its existing completion assertion. The same assertion failed on untouched baseline `556daf9a` before this patch; its test and Runner sources are unchanged. Exact-head CI passes this coverage. No workaround for that local fixture is included. - `pnpm build` passed. - Independent review approved this exact commit. All 14 new PostgreSQL regressions and 181 existing recovery/finalizer cases passed. One existing suite needed an isolated rerun after a setup timeout. - Independent negative controls reproduced the original bug. Removing only the tuple-version guard reproduced the blocked-row race. Removing only the hold exclusion cleared the safety hold too early. Restoring this patch passed all three checks. - GitHub CI passed all 53 applicable checks. The two Storybook jobs were skipped as expected. Greptile scored this commit 5/5 with no unresolved review threads. - Local runtime: Node 25.6.1. GitHub CI supplies the repository's Node 24 checks. - `git diff --check`, Gitleaks, and a local diff scan for secrets and private data passed. ## Risks - PostgreSQL tuple versions are used only as an optimistic fence for `process_lost`. Both accepted-result publishers lock and update that heartbeat in their result transaction. - The guard requires the bound accepted result and the durable coordinator state. A heartbeat phase or arbitrary owner JSON alone cannot suppress ordinary process loss. - Existing finalizer retries, ownership verification, explicit cancellation, and terminal-task dispositions remain unchanged. A physical owner can still require operator verification. - This change does not replay provider work or restore a source already destroyed by an older controller. No migration or runtime operation is included. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6 family, with reasoning, repository tools, code execution, and independent agent review. The exact service model ID and context-window size are not exposed in this worker session. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

feat: integrate Pi 1.0 into the experimental Runner (#14921)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip manages AI agents and their work. > - The experimental Runner owns provider processes and durable sessions. > - Pi needs working task execution and human controls. > - The five-PR stack must preserve changes already on master. > - Each layer now carries the complete integrated source for a safe sequential fallback. > - This PR belongs to native GitHub stack #15602, ending at #14956. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs #14436, #14631, #14743 and #14956. Ship Pi 1.0 through the experimental Paperclip Runner. The five PRs are #14921, #14922, #14923, #14924 and #14956. The user authorized the complete merge after checks pass. Existing `pi_local` execution is unchanged. Accounting and wider provider/platform qualification remain deferred. ## What Changed - Recover missing final replies after workspace finalization changes owners, using accepted-turn evidence without rerunning work or granting external-chat publication. - Preserve the admitted Pi instruction root across warm runs, while retaining changed-root rejection. - Give Pi a bounded 15-second default shutdown grace so stop, drain acknowledgement and durable suspension can complete. Explicit deadlines and other providers retain their existing behavior. - Integrate the Pi 1.0 runtime and master contracts. - Use Pi profile 22. Preserve explicit caller-selected models and exact native thinking levels. Keep Pi's wrapper, helper, extension and question/control behavior unchanged from the qualified profile-19 runtime. - Preserve master's Dot lifecycle and consent fields, configured task environment, status guards and current Codex/Claude dependency versions. Cursor stays qualified. Copilot stays pending; profile 17 binds the changed shared protocol validation sources. - Exclude general AWS IAM credentials from Pi static/custom provider bindings and selected task projections; preserve the provider-scoped Bedrock bearer key. Profile 21 is retained as historical provenance. Rust and cloud install probes use the current declaration. - Patch bundled brace-expansion 5.0.9 to the exact official 5.0.12 payload. Pin the patch and complete runtime closures. Include the patch in normal installed setup tooling. Keep the upstream Pi shrinkwrap as provenance and permit only this exact security correction. - Include current attestation files in the Docker build context. Keep the repository lockfile unchanged from master. CI and private image builds resolve manifest changes before their frozen installation. ## Verification - Full local `pnpm -r typecheck` passes, including Runner Rust, server and UI. Focused integration checks pass: 194 Runner admission/environment tests, 63 profile/credential tests with one expected skip, 152 Dot/UI configuration tests, and Pi transcript/notice tests. - Full local `pnpm build` passes on the final source. - Fresh final-source checks pass: all 698 Rust workspace tests (32 binaries), 156 credential/profile/controller tests with one expected skip, Runner TypeScript typecheck, and 20 package/setup/sandbox tests. - The profile-21 Pi materializer passes on the native host with the official pinned Node 24.21.0 and its npm. It verifies all 150 locked packages, the patched dependency and the exact closure. Setup/package bundle tests and UI token gates pass. - The old hashes were reproduced for all three supported targets before calculating the patched graph. New closure hashes are darwin-arm64 `282022db10150c6632b3444df421342e7d534bdf5d5fb1097a2e79d0625a2bcf`, darwin-x64 `64e251e19009f755c0b04f73ce2138246faab71a961b0f13d75ebfcc34bef12e`, and linux-x64 `713b1fdff42fb56a1518bdc084f181d70bee8ebadc3e4b1d76321ed9108c8410`. Independent native platform execution is separate from graph identity reproduction. - Historical cloud qualification remains unchanged: all seven core cases pass on shipping source `10dc43c9ec65d88c2f782d62afb296d09494f215`, harness `1a4408a48cfb5a1f094a311141c257c92cd7a893`, image `sha256:5b3a775b383591bda1b0c1889e509acc70ce7f37c53f09733c81d59037f02280`, and accepted Sonnet 4.6/low fixture. All 215 canonical files and all seven cleanup checks pass independent verification. These are profile-19 results and are not relabeled as fresh profile-22 runs. - Current Pi digest: `sha256:e92078bee3c23bec4100aa589013a44613d054cd686826534025d8019e9f39a9`. [The readiness plan](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/blob/codex/pi-production-readiness/doc/plans/2026-10-02-pi-production-readiness.md) preserves campaign and failed-attempt provenance. - Merge only after every PR's current-head CI and fresh review pass. Linux CI covers the full suites, build and browser tests. The local embedded Postgres API-authority suite cannot start on this macOS/Node 26 host, so Linux CI must confirm that suite. ### Fresh profile-22 core qualification — 2026-10-08 All seven accepted core cases pass canonically on Pi profile 22, with `openrouter/anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.6` and native-confirmed low thinking. This model is a fixture; production accepts the caller's explicit Pi provider/model. Runtime/install source: `3241a992f2a7703e59e97ed0fd3e5d6405de4401`. Frozen accepted harness: `1a4408a48cfb5a1f094a311141c257c92cd7a893`. Immutable cloud image: `ghcr.io/paperclipai/paperclip-daytona-runner@sha256:506f22db7edd78f37c0c40bec1cc084af1850455026dbf467194bfbb8fcef141`. Pi digest: `sha256:e92078bee3c23bec4100aa589013a44613d054cd686826534025d8019e9f39a9`. [Hosted Linux image and clean-install verification](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37868328023) passes, including all 20 source-bound archives, normal CLI/Pi setup, companion import and the production pack reader. This exact installation source includes the latest master integration and the corrected Pi warm instruction-root fence. Full local typecheck/build and current-head hosted CI verify the final stack. All 13 focused real-root regressions pass. The full local executor suite passed 662 tests; 15 database tests could not start the Mac embedded PostgreSQL service. Hosted Linux CI passes the full required verification and E2E checks. These fresh results keep their own source identity; profile-19 results remain historical. | Core path | Canonical campaign | Retained archive SHA-256 | | --- | --- | --- | | File edit, validation, download and Done | `pi-core22-replyfix-0-1791511228` | 23 files; `a473e8603a3dd4737863291f8d3d1e392391f0b16d433c3e0e0e9d8baf7a97b0` | | Pending question and controller restart | `pi-core22-replyfix-1-1791511376` | 33 files; `6b829c4eb74e1f32a89c692a4ae7130dbfc1c6d3cf13915effe2103d9e242c8e` | | Three-turn session/process/workspace continuity | `pi-core22-replyfix-2-1791511587` | 23 files; `7a87021f8f9a3fdd3c58bb4467f8d82c635e3ea4795d6e75f144d9aa14818df8` | | Four typed questions and browser reconnects | `pi-core22-replyfix-3-1791511881` | 42 files; `9e31755252be1f4f9cb0626c984c142d4d1ae5f5bee3a7af08444db8d12c280a` | | Plan approval and completion | `pi-core22-replyfix-4-1791512031` | 22 files; `a0383ce1aab38e7b5a25ce0e9dd3bebea5c037ebd96ae6b29dae19015da2ae2c` | | Same-turn steering and permission denial | `pi-core22-replyfix-5-1791512261` | 39 files; `c929b8c7070f0b66aedc17e65ca46e6beab1e363926ac9f7e2a75fb250f05949` | | Stop during pending permission | `pi-core22-replyfix-6-1791512390` | 33 files; `7f0a58ae0f4d5bfc76149435f4e322537089c5bd16e7ffe9b5ad71f10a621a07` | All 215 canonical files (28714587 bytes) are independently hash-verified. All seven cleanup grades pass, with no owned runtime process or temporary root after each case. Automatic retries are zero. The owned cloud host stopped normally after retention. The prior profile-22 warm attempt remains failed and separately retained: archive SHA-256 `1e54eba5ec72b50cee1534b23d1d1d4f21a090006b8a64501ba70db972abfde5`. Its original canonical classification is preserved. Diagnosis reproduced a product bug comparing an agent-files root against an unset checkpoint-only field. The fix stores the admitted physical root separately from the adopted per-run collection capability. The real-root regression fails before the fix and passes afterward, including rejection of a changed physical root. Fixture, grader, model and all seven accepted case IDs are unchanged; this fresh campaign tests final-reply publication after file registration first. The intermediate restart attempt also remains failed and retained: archive SHA-256 `5dcaefdf1d17cf4cd54fd4cf810f45e736667392339b8ce7caf08bb4e225277f`. Its original canonical classification is preserved. Pi resumed, wrote the verified answer and completed its task; exact runner suspension was proven, but idle stop consumed about 5.2s and left under 3s for the drain acknowledgement. The Pi-only default shutdown grace is now 15s, preserving a full 5s drain round trip and a finite suspension reserve. Explicit caller deadlines, other provider defaults, literal drain receipts and exact suspension identity checks remain unchanged. The timing regression fails before this correction and passes afterward; all 18 focused settlement tests and Runner typecheck pass. The final-source file attempt is also preserved as failed (`candidate_failure`), archive SHA-256 `db6767b6773ea618997927ac77bdb005a5ac81492c7b9c0ffbc900449f829bc9`. Native edit, validation, exact downloadable artifact and Done/succeeded all passed, and the exact final reply was durably recorded. A workspace recovery owner completed before the live heartbeat reached presentation, leaving that reply absent from task chat. Recovery now materializes only a completed final reply from the accepted turn of an ordinary internal Done task, preserving issue/run/contract binding, suppression, external-chat authorization and same-run deduplication. The database regression covers the generated file-preparation receipt, suppression, unapproved external continuation and replay. Server typecheck and all 49 response-selection tests pass; hosted Linux verifies the database regression because embedded PostgreSQL cannot start on this Mac. The delayed-final-answer database regression passes on [the final root-source Linux server shard](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37868262553/job/113628594152), alongside 1,108 passing tests. The first root Runner shard had one unchanged durable-resume test exceed its 5-second timeout; the identical top-source shard and the isolated exact test passed. One rerun of that failed job and its required aggregate passed without source or test changes. The original failed job log and the single-rerun receipt remain retained. ### October 9 merge verification Current merge head: `5a8fe63512a7166aaef5cf50065a25008aa8b44b`. All current-head checks pass, including `ci / verify` and `ci / e2e`; exact-head Greptile review is 5/5 with no unresolved threads. Current master conflicts are resolved. The user authorized the maintainer override of the code-owner review gate after these checks. The seven retained live core cases remain bound to source `3241a992f2a7703e59e97ed0fd3e5d6405de4401` and its recorded cloud image. ## Risks - The security correction changes the dependency closure and profile identity. Old sessions must reopen on the new profile. Exact identities and credential bindings fail closed. - The runner remains experimental and requires explicit selection. Legacy Pi Local is unchanged. Caller model IDs pass through; the E2E model is a fixture. - Accounting and the broad platform/provider matrix remain deferred. This merge does not publish a release or deploy a service. ## Model Used OpenAI GPT-6 through Codex assisted with reasoning, repository inspection, editing and tool use. The exact serving ID and context window are not exposed in this session. Final live qualification uses Pi 1.0.0 with `openrouter/anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.6` and native-confirmed low thinking. ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either (a) linked existing issues with `Fixes: #` / `Closes #` OR (b) described the issue in-PR following the relevant issue template - [x] I have not referenced internal/instance-local Paperclip issues or links (only public GitHub `#NNN` / `github.com/paperclipai/paperclip` URLs) - [x] My branch name describes the change (e.g. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(runner): restore task monitors and durable timed waits (#15446)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip manages AI agents and their task execution. > - Agents need a durable way to return to work after a delayed check. > - The issue monitor scheduler already provides a one-shot wake for an assignee. > - Native runners reject generic execution-policy writes and had no bound monitor tool. > - Scheduling alone is insufficient because native completion also needs to accept a timed wait. > - This pull request adds an authorized monitor tool and connects it to completion and the existing scheduler. > - An agent can now schedule its next check, end the run, and resume on the same task. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** A native runner could not set its own task monitor. `call_api` correctly rejected execution-policy writes, while `schedule_wake` had no production binding. `paperclip_finish` also rejected monitor waits. **Expected behavior** A standard native run can set a one-shot monitor on its current task or another accessible task assigned to the same agent. After a confirmed schedule on the current task, it can yield. The scheduler later delivers `issue_monitor_due`. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Start a standard native task. 2. Ask the agent to check the task again later and end its current run. 3. Inspect available tools and try the generic issue execution-policy update. 4. Observe the missing native tool and the lifecycle-write denial. Related PRs: #14680 concerns monitor notes in the shared wake prompt. #11919 changes attempt-limit scope. This PR adds native scheduling and completion authority and retains the existing cumulative attempt bounds. It does not depend on either PR. ## What Changed - Add provider-neutral `set_task_monitor` with a default current-task target, future timestamp, required notes, existing bounds, and explicit clearing. - Check company, task visibility, ownership, runtime permissions, work mode, and active-run authority. Preserve review-only restrictions. Reject the reserved server-owned quota-recovery name before saving or accepting a native wait. - Commit the monitor, audit event, and retry receipt together. Retry receipts survive a successor run without re-arming cleared or consumed timers. - Permit `paperclip_finish` to yield to a persisted monitor. Recheck ownership and the schedule when committing final disposition. Release execution without an immediate continuation. - Preserve due monitors during native execution. Fence wake admission and consumption against replacement, clearing, reassignment, and completion. Preserve unrelated review policy. - Expose scheduled and consumed monitor instructions in task context. Update provider schemas, Rust validation, generated contracts, and execution documentation. - Add an opt-in live Codex smoke script with isolated data and explicit run/session/runner/process evidence. ## Verification - Repository `pnpm -r typecheck` and `pnpm build` passed after rebase. Server typecheck passed again after review fixes. All CI test shards pass on `3def77b1b`, including runner TypeScript/Rust, server, serialized server, workspace, and browser tests. All CI gates are green, including the canary dry run. Greptile is 5/5 on the same commit with zero unresolved threads. - The local monolithic `pnpm test:run`, started before the rebase, was interrupted after current-head CI test coverage passed. It is not counted as a standalone full-suite pass; the focused local regression suites passed. - Targeted server tests cover scheduling, replacement, clearing, policy preservation, cumulative bounds, cross-run retries, permissions, provider-neutral discovery, review restrictions, completion authority, and scheduler/finalizer races. - Runner contract/catalog/semantic tests and Rust terminal-tool tests cover the new operation and monitor completion. - Live Codex test passed twice (latest live run on `e0bcd63e6`) in a temporary database and workspace, with a 300,000 ms warm window. First run `67bd7709-c089-4d4a-9d2b-0d6b618a34b0` yielded at `2026-10-07T13:15:03.274Z`. Second run `97c323f9-595a-4cc5-a007-db5a2fbb937c` started at `13:15:30.952Z`, received `issue_monitor_due`, and completed the same task. Exactly one monitor wake was recorded. - Both live runs used native session `7b1dd753-1c9b-4e7a-b22f-a125dbc3748c`, runner `e90d9a1b-3502-4ee3-b15e-edc024c555d4`, provider session `01a11680-6d01-70c0-9a55-db7246ed66c3`, and PID `64218` with the same process start time. This proves warm reuse for that local Codex test, not only successful scheduling. - Reproduce the paid live test with `node --import ./server/node_modules/tsx/dist/loader.mjs server/scripts/smoke-native-task-monitor.ts --run`, with the installed Codex binary on `PATH` and a valid local login. ## Risks - The scheduler now defers monitor dispatch while the task has an active native run. A stuck run still depends on the existing recovery lifecycle. - Idempotency uses the existing run ledger; no table or migration is added. - Other providers share the tested tool and completion contracts. Only Codex received a live model test. - Existing `call_api` lifecycle restrictions remain enforced. Monitor waits do not bypass task blockers, reviews, or approvals. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6 family, with tool use, code execution, and TypeScript/Rust editing. The session does not expose the exact deployed model ID or context-window size. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

feat(runner): consolidate Cursor production integration (#15075)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - The native Runner keeps provider sessions under company authority, approvals, budgets and durable recovery. > - Cursor work was spread across candidate branches. The published branch lacked later plan, permission and cleanup fixes. > - Production also needs public installation and matching runtime assets for local and Daytona execution. > - This pull request consolidates Cursor onto current mainline recovery behavior and completes that installation path. > - The installed v11 release passed focused local and Daytona qualification after the generic mode and lifecycle cleanup. The later model-selection correction and current mainline merge produce v14 artifacts that need matching release qualification. > - Cursor admission is enabled in source; publish only an artifact combination with matching qualification. Native AskQuestion and complete per-run dollar accounting remain excluded. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs: #14435, #14631, #14669, #14699, #14724. This completes the Cursor implementation by @cryppadotta from combined source `22c78242a4e0c2369fecf0c2dc4e7600fbad6706`. It preserves newer mainline recovery, completion and warm-directory behavior. Pi and Copilot remain gated. ## What Changed - Generate named Rust and TypeScript ACPX release profiles from one manifest. Share runtime pins with packaging and server verification. Preserve vendor runtime versions; bind the updated ACPX patch to Cursor profile v14 and reject stale generated declarations at build/typecheck. - Remove ACPX model allowlists, including the former Codex and Pi restrictions and the duplicate developer test-drive gate. Send any explicit model ID unchanged to its provider and verify the effective selection before prompting. The bundled ACPX package forwards unlisted IDs, rejects mismatched acknowledgements, and restores the exact selection after session load. It does not expand Cursor model aliases. Provider rejection, mismatch, or missing model controls fails without a fallback. Model examples live in evaluation fixtures, outside runtime declarations. - Add pinned Cursor execution, contained instructions, exact model verification and Agent/Plan/Ask modes. - Carry an opaque generic `mode` identifier in shared native execution, sidecar, Rust and recovery contracts. The provider adapter owns supported modes, defaults, native translation and acknowledgement. - Keep native RPC recognition, accepted-plan interpretation and permission evidence behind provider adapters. Shared settlement and recovery verify normalized facts and their committed evidence. - Replace the Cursor-only warm-attachment branch with a runner-owned capability. Only Cursor opts into it. Move profile compatibility and optional usage parsing into provider metadata and adapters. - Write generic plan-wait receipts. Read exact historical Cursor receipts through a separate compatibility decoder. Reject mixed formats and preserve existing authority checks. - Carry native plans, semantic questions, todos, child activity, permission identities and partial usage diagnostics through the Runner. - Preserve durable response delivery, cancellation, warm ownership and process retirement. - Finish accepted planning runs successfully. Keep their tasks open for explicit direction. Acceptance does not start implementation. - Ship `paperclipai runtime setup cursor` and its provisioner through the public package. npm installation does not download Cursor. Setup uses the OS account's closure-keyed cache so system-wide npm packages can remain read-only. Run it as the Paperclip service account. - Include Cursor in normal provider packs and Daytona images for macOS ARM64/x64 and Linux x64. - Reject stale release packs by source revision and current ACPX/Cursor pins before assembly writes files. Verify current Cursor version/profile/closure again at runtime. - Ship all three daemon targets and the expected Linux image-pack identity. A macOS controller uses its packaged Linux daemon for Daytona. Image mismatches fail before provider launch. - Use the vendored Runner boundary for installed readiness probes. Verify the actual installed Cursor probe. - Verify compiled public Daytona plugins and their release versions in installed smokes. - Record exact artifacts, the acceptance matrix, retained failures, supported capabilities and rollback behavior in the [readiness report](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/blob/codex/cursor-production-readiness/doc/plans/2026-10-03-cursor-production-readiness.md). ## Verification - Current head `f7ec5cc1f0e30c62a829c016ff2013a2a9d79037` merges mainline `faa8e452c73bae5e044dd6379179a00106abb131`. It keeps Cursor plan and cancellation guards alongside mainline historical-question filtering. The evaluation catalog includes both Cursor and expanded adapter accounting cases (683 total). Recursive typecheck, full build, 696 lifecycle/recovery tests, 45 fixture tests and fixture typecheck passed. Current-head CI passed: 56 successful checks, one neutral and four skipped. [Complete CI](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37557996535). The fresh Base Greptile review is 5/5 on this exact head, with 304 files reviewed, zero new comments and zero unresolved threads. The user authorized overriding the CODEOWNER review gate after checks passed; no failing checks are overridden. Prior results below retain their own head identities. - Corrective head `3d2b168366258036f6b6a6fccb382c49138cc601` fixes the post-merge Apex finding. Automatic-review and new-evidence reconciliation preserve pending child results and recheck delivery under the status lock before completing. Account repair now excludes unrelated secret consumers and requires the failed agent's identity. Regression coverage includes the commit race, delivery statuses, current-run/current-intent exclusions, repeated reconciliation, both database reconciliation paths, and credential consumer boundaries. All 184 affected tests, server typecheck and server build passed. Current-head Base Greptile review is 5/5, with 304 files reviewed, zero new comments and zero unresolved threads. Current-head CI passed: 56 successful checks, one neutral and four skipped. [Complete CI](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37535994724). This Base review is distinct from the earlier Apex review. - Merge head `5957c257a` reconciles mainline `b508a05c4`. It preserves both accepted-plan waits and pending-child-completion checks, current provider selectors, task-creation response identities, and mainline ACPX missing-file handling. The combined patch is bound to Cursor profile v14; historical records keep their original identities. - Merge head `5957c257a` passed recursive typecheck, full build, 43 installed ACPX/package contracts, 107 provider UI and plan/recovery tests, 593 database-backed lifecycle tests, 49 profile/native contract tests, 45 Product E2E fixture tests, fixture typecheck, token gates, three provider-free browser task-creation cases, and Runner conformance/replay checks. Its complete CI passed (55 successful checks, one neutral and four skipped), while Apex returned 2/5 with a child-delivery finding addressed below. - The local full-suite attempt again failed the unchanged Git streaming test (360-second timeout) and was stopped. The concurrent local Rust attempt failed four unchanged Codex process/deadline tests; all four passed serially without code changes in 7.29 seconds after removing the competing test load. These failed commands are retained and are not reported as full-suite passes; the fresh Linux CI runs are tracked separately. - The previous head `907bdb2a2778c7ffeb4a662a91460c9d1ddfc9c5` earned Apex 5/5 with zero comments after fixing all three findings: per-user install cache, stale release-pack rejection, and public Linux smoke account/home handling. Its real built installer passed from read-only public packages on macOS ARM64 and Linux x64. All 137 release-registry checks and 64 ACPX package contracts passed. That review does not cover this mainline reconciliation. - Prior `beadd3654` passed the full CI matrix; its one unchanged chat test failure and successful single retry remain in the [CI history](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37521449327). Historical results below remain attributed to their original builds. - Fixture follow-up `dd59d7e82b103a88b7cbd7d2c38b612c0fbbff7a` removes provider-specific model choices from generic offline ACPX tests. The fake sidecar preserves the model and session identity selected at open through suspension. Affected verification passed: 106 Rust tests and 73 TypeScript tests. This commit changes test code only; the production-code checks below retain their recorded identities. Its CI and Greptile review later passed; those results belong to that historical head. - Model-selection cleanup `9a070808b48960a41fdfd369ae0636b95af82459`: 252 focused Runner tests passed (six platform skips), covering all six ACPX agents, native model acknowledgement, rejected selections, installation integrity and recovery identity. The merged branch passed recursive typecheck, full build, token gates, server admission (19 tests), and the Product E2E catalog (45 tests). The acceptance catalog passed all four tests. The full Rust suite passed: 643 tests, 2 ignored. It verifies sidecar acknowledgement of unlisted models and rejection of model mismatches. The final commits only update Rust tests; production sources match the verified build at `65ec3279ac50185e3cda109b5cfd9b4f56105de0`. No new paid provider calls were made. - The merge preserves both Cursor and the new mainline public-MCP fixture cases. Auto-merge remains disabled; the latest follow-up status is recorded above. The local `pnpm test:run` attempt hit the unchanged Git streaming test's 300-second timeout and was interrupted before merging mainline. The broad Runner attempt found obsolete single-model assertions plus three macOS fixture-path failures caused by a `/private/tmp` override. The assertions are corrected; affected TypeScript checks passed with the standard macOS temporary directory, and the complete Rust suite passed. Neither interrupted command is a full-suite pass. - Earlier declaration-cleanup head `6f4a5e9e2` passed recursive typecheck, build, Rust and focused tests. Its CI later exposed a test expecting duplicated Grok digest literals. The current source fixes that assertion to compare launcher bytes with the shared manifest. Historical successes and failed attempts are retained; no new live provider qualification is claimed. - Previous head `e75fde6098b0ddd8cec765bfb6ecaeecb88a26a6` passed complete CI (56 successful checks, one neutral, four skipped) and Greptile 5/5. [Historical complete CI](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37489112305). Those results are not claimed for the cleanup head. - Frozen live application: `d7b696f9b8f79095233e9e3d56d23e6a6018dd48`. Public package version: `0.0.0-cursor-verify.3d0c9b7761c6`. The declaration cleanup preserves release pins and does not relabel that tested artifact as a build of the new source. Mainline through `e34abee670` was reconciled while preserving accepted-plan waits, provider-capacity handling, and both Cursor and public-MCP fixtures. - Clean normal installation, explicit Cursor setup and daemon resolution passed on macOS ARM64, macOS x64 under Rosetta, and Linux x64. npm lifecycle hooks ran without silently downloading Cursor. - Historical v11 live matrix: **18/18 passed with cleanup** (nine local, nine Daytona) after the generic mode and lifecycle cleanup. The campaign has 23 attempts; all five failures and their diagnoses remain recorded. Exact case identities, hashes and limits are in the readiness report. All provider calls are real, use the explicit Luna model and company-bound credentials, and run without qualification or runtime-asset overrides. - The immutable Daytona image is `ghcr.io/paperclipai/paperclip-daytona-runner@sha256:d6259b6bba094702c13fc2283bd85550849c1c53145b656fb2746778f9fa1747`. The public Daytona plugin is installed independently and its version is checked. - Recursive typecheck, full build, token gates and Runner contract/conformance/replay checks passed on the frozen application. Its complete Linux CI suite passed. The duplicate local full-suite command was incomplete after timing failures; affected repeats passed, but that command is not reported as a clean pass. - Qualification fixtures passed typecheck, 1,675 Vitest tests (one skip), 128 Node checks, three provider-free browser tests, and 150 focused lifecycle tests after the final diagnostic correction. The affected legacy Cursor command file also passed all five tests after removing its shorter 10-second override; it now inherits the suite’s standard 15-second timeout. Greptile is 5/5 on `e75fde609` with no unresolved review threads. CI results above are recorded separately from historical build results. ## Risks - Cursor v14 includes the updated ACPX dependency patch and release identity. The v11 live matrix and image below remain historical evidence. They do not certify new v14 package/image artifacts. - ACPX accepts models beyond the qualification fixtures. Availability and entitlement depend on the provider. Successful configuration is not a claim of live qualification for every model. - Shared mode is an opaque identifier. Provider adapters own its meaning. Incompatible historical sessions remain fenced; exact committed plan waits and task history remain inspectable. - Native AskQuestion is excluded. Paperclip semantic questions are supported. Authoritative per-run dollar accounting is unavailable; partial counters remain diagnostics and unknown cost is not zero. - Image input, detailed native diffs, deeper child transcripts and native plan-file export remain follow-ups. - macOS x64 has clean-install and daemon-startup proof under Rosetta, not a separate live campaign on Intel hardware. - Release only the tested package/image combination. Merging this PR does not publish npm packages or deploy that image. Later builds need their own release verification. Rollback disables new Cursor admission while preserving records and recovery inspection. - A model can fail an exact instruction: one cancelled-plan attempt returned the wrong summary marker despite correct cancellation. The unchanged repeat passed; both results remain in the report. > ROADMAP.md was checked. This completes existing native Runner/Cursor work; it does not add an independent core feature proposal. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6. The exact serving variant and context window are not exposed in this session. The agent used reasoning, repository inspection, code execution, protocol tests and browser-backed Product E2E tools. Cursor acceptance uses the explicit `gpt-5.6-luna[context=272k,reasoning=medium,fast=false]` model. That is the evaluated provider model. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass — affected suites passed; full CI and the retained local failed attempts are recorded separately above. - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green — 56 successful checks, one neutral and four skipped on `f7ec5cc1f0e30c62a829c016ff2013a2a9d79037` - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups — fresh Base review passed on `f7ec5cc1f0e30c62a829c016ff2013a2a9d79037`; zero new comments and no unresolved threads. fix(tasks): stop repeated reminders for historical questions (#15392)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Task questions remain saved so a person can answer them later. > - The composer moves an old question into history after a newer human message. > - Native completion still treated every pending question as a required response. > - This caused agents to demand an old answer after the person moved work forward. > - This pull request shares the historical-question rule across context and task execution. > - Agents can finish verified work while the original question remains answerable. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs #15229, Refs #14613, Refs #13130. **What happened?** An agent repeatedly asked a person to answer a question that had moved into feed history. Completion feedback explicitly told the agent to request a response. The saved pending row also blocked task completion. **Expected behavior** A question before newer human direction remains answerable in the feed. Its pending state alone must not require another reminder or stop completed work. A new input blocker, an approval, or a configured review stage must keep its gate. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Let a task agent create an ordinary question. 2. Dismiss the question and send a newer task message. 3. Let the agent finish the requested work and submit its completion report. 4. Observe a demand to answer the old question and a retained completion gate. ## What Changed - Add one company-scoped predicate for historical questions. Only later human comments count. Exclude agent attribution, run attribution, system notices, and untrusted source data. - Apply the predicate to completion feedback, native waits, finalization, commit validation, retry validation, blocked routing, and successful-run handoff. - Include question classification and guidance in heartbeat context and both native task-context tools. Add the guidance to fresh and resumed task prompts. - Replace automatic reminders for current ordinary questions with instructions to assess the real blocker, continue independent work, and withdraw obsolete questions through the existing API. - Preserve historical question rows during completion while cancelling their live native source runs through the existing post-commit and recovery paths. Let an authorized human answer them after completion without reopening work or creating a response wake. Preserve cancellation, current-input, approval, permission, credential, connection, and review gates. Add no dismissal storage or migration. - Document the rule in the execution contract and agent skill. Refresh generated capability source anchors. Add database-backed status, context, attribution, and governance regression tests. ## Verification - `pnpm build` passed. The server rebuild also passed after the lifecycle fix. Generated capability contract and inventory checks passed after the agent documentation update. - `pnpm -r typecheck` passed. Final `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec tsc --noEmit` also passed after the last test additions. - Lifecycle and interaction regressions passed: 224 tests in 3 suites. Context and prompt tests also passed. Final historical-question cases passed (33 tests), native cancellation/recovery cases passed (6 tests), and the existing interaction/confirmation suites passed (72 tests). The full local `pnpm test:run` was attempted and stopped after more than two hours with unrelated fixture/hook timeout failures; it did not pass. All 52 successful GitHub checks are green on the latest commit, including the complete test matrix; no checks are pending or failing. Greptile is 5/5 and both review threads are resolved. - Regression cases cover the old-question/new-human-message sequence, final task status, answering after completion with no wake, live-run cancellation and crash recovery, current input blockers, both task-context tools, API context, timestamp precision, attribution boundaries, and protected gates. ## Risks - A later human task message makes an earlier ordinary question historical even if its input is still missing. The agent must identify the current blocker and ask only for information that still prevents work. - Browser dismissal remains a local preference. Dismissal without a later human message is not recorded by this change. - No schema change or data migration. Completion retains ordinary historical questions; cancellation still expires them. A completed task accepts historical answers only from an authorized human and creates no response-delivery outbox row. Governed requests retain their gates. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6, with repository editing, code execution, and browser diagnostics. The exact deployment model ID and context-window size are not exposed in this session. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(native): wake parents after revised child completions (#15372)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip manages agents and the tasks they perform. > - A parent needs a new notification when a child finishes requested revisions. > - Native completion currently identifies that wake by the parent and child only. > - An already consumed notification can suppress the child's next completion. > - This PR binds ordinary child notifications to the committed status decision. > - A replay keeps the same identity, while a new completion can wake the parent. > - Live evaluation then exposed new child results being swallowed by an active parent. > - The repair preserves that input for a fresh turn and prevents premature Done from discarding it. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs: #15218. The procedure experiments remain unshipped. This fixes native completion wake identity and durable delivery to a busy parent. Related open work: #10559 and #4507 address legacy wake deduplication, #11179 addresses delivery during an active parent run, and #13044 addresses watchdog signals. This PR changes native committed-decision keys and their delivery to an active parent, while preserving exact watchdog behavior. **What happened?** A native child completed, its parent consumed the notification, and feedback reopened the child. The second completion found the old completed wake and created no new notification. **Expected behavior** Each new ordinary child completion can notify the parent. Replaying the same committed completion must not add a notification. If the parent is already running, the new result must remain available for a fresh turn; an unread result must survive a parent Done claim. **Steps to reproduce** Complete a native child, consume its parent wake, reopen and complete that same child, then inspect the parent wakes. The regression fails on unchanged master because only one wake exists after two completions. **Paperclip version or commit** Baseline: `0fe47882cfcb12082035113c59ca96091c46ebfc`. **Deployment mode** Native runner with the standard server and PostgreSQL control plane. ## What Changed - Include the durable status-decision ID in ordinary child completion wake keys. - Defer new ordinary native child completions behind an active parent, carrying the committed decision identity and revised summary. - Keep a parent in progress while that result is still queued, claimed or deferred; recheck before the status commit. Use the existing continuation without reviving cancelled tasks. - Lock the parent before ordinary child status writes, making the notification/Done ordering explicit without upgrading an implicit foreign-key lock. - Cover exact sequential delivery, dispatcher replay, and queued/claimed/deferred versus consumed/current-run completion identities in database tests. - Apply it when the child is also a dependency and when it is only a child. - Preserve the stable key for exact `task_watchdog` origins to avoid repeated watchdog loops. - Extend real database conformance coverage for both relationships, ordinary and near-match origins, watchdogs, revised summaries, and replay. - Reconcile the working checklist with the merged guidance PRs and record the bounded next step. - Reuse the current composer helper for Everyday task creation: capture the returned task ID, preserve the exact prompt and chosen assignee/project, and cover the setup with paused-agent browser tests. The same setup correction is present in both comparison variants. ## Verification **Ready for review and merge at `e2fc0c8e3ddb84dd9bc045704c3d1ecb23ee3447`: both original live cases pass, zero new failures against the frozen baseline, all checks green, CLEAN/MERGEABLE and out of draft. Report and screenshots return HTTP 200; screenshot bytes match original retained evidence. - Measured candidate `e2fc0c8e3ddb84dd9bc045704c3d1ecb23ee3447`; reused frozen baseline `7d700f43e93e89e4c196f8799b0aa3cef41d20da`. Trusted workflow `88ff98b83d15eaa6640ee1848df4f0ad9bc82af3` is distinct from measured sources; workflow blob `0600886144d3e22ea2e4a38329a79177882f3948`. Prompts, fixture, oracle, model/profile and input controls are unchanged. Both variants include the same composer setup repair. - Both original candidate grades PASS: all 31 checks per cell, parent and child Done, independently tested revised ZIPs, successful cleanup. Exactly one first attempt per profile on this source: 10 actual runs, no retries. Reusing nine baseline runs gives 19 matched runs; the baseline was not rerun. - Claude directly exercised the repair: its revised child completed while the parent was active, the parent's Done claim became InProgress with `native_child_completion_pending`, and a fresh parent turn then completed with the revised artifact. - Both persisted final provider comments refer to the same attachment whose parent-registration hash matches the revised ZIP tested by the original oracle; native final evidence also references that attachment. Codex provides a clickable download link. Claude describes the new `--max-length` behavior but uses a backticked attachment ID, without a clickable URL in the final prose. The artifact is registered on the parent and independently downloaded/tested; prose-link usability remains a presentation limit outside the original oracle. Artifact identity and observed execution do not prove cognitive review. - 68 focused scheduling/conformance/arbiter tests pass. Four regressions fail against the original production files while four controls pass. The database scheduler test proves one sequential continuation with the revised summary and replay deduplication. It uses a mock adapter and is separate from the live proof. - Full local `pnpm -r typecheck` and `pnpm build` pass. [Exact-head full CI 37522126627](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37522126627): 51 successful checks, two intentional skips, separate Snyk success. Fresh exact-head Greptile [5/5](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/15372#issuecomment-6022179172), no new actionable findings; all review threads resolved. - Ready-transition Contributor trust and Superagent Security Scan both pass. The security scan completed at 2026-10-06T20:26:53Z with zero annotations. Final total: 53 successful check runs, two intentional skips and separate Snyk success; aggregate SUCCESS, source unchanged, zero unresolved threads. - The explicit parent lock precedes child writes. Its controlled PostgreSQL ordering also passes on previous production through an implicit foreign-key lock; this is hardening, not a reproduced additional live failure. The four original failing regressions remain the before/after proof of the active-parent repair. ### Preserved failures and accounting - Initial candidate `a2ae2324ce7692e704fc43e99904b076d6246fee`: Codex PASS → FAIL, Claude FAIL → PASS. Equal totals concealed a new failure and did not qualify that source. Its Codex parent ended Blocked after the revised child result coalesced into the active parent; there was no retained later parent execution and the independent ZIP oracle was never reached. A later server backstop log did not prove recovery. - In the initial Claude cells, both parent finals referenced an earlier parent ZIP while the oracle tested the revised child's ZIP. The original candidate PASS did not establish latest-artifact delivery. Earlier parent ZIP bytes are absent, so different hashes alone do not prove missing functionality. Those original grades and content findings are unchanged. - Original baseline [report](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-37509893406-1/index.html); original candidate Claude [artifact](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37509916344/artifacts/11434353106); failed candidate Codex [campaign](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37513070706). The original cohort contains 17 actual runs, no retries, successful cleanup. - Campaign 37509916344 was cancelled after its Codex job waited over 16 minutes without a runner or steps. Completed Claude evidence was preserved; only the missing Codex first trial was dispatched in 37513070706. The trusted workflow revision differs but workflow bytes are identical. The cancelled campaign has no published HTML. Earlier campaigns 37506546098 / 37506550087 retain four composer setup failures, zero agent runs; the identical fixture-only repair restored setup without changing the prompt or outcome oracle. - Intermediate `3c1cf6830ce9db4123b834ffb99c594c383a8986` [campaign 37518652522](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/37518652522) was cancelled after a concurrency review finding. Both paid-cell steps started and both tasks were created. Only invocation policies survived; no grade, run inventory or cleanup receipt. Provider activity and charges are unknown: two incomplete attempts, not passes or zero-provider setup failures. - Cumulative accounting: **27 known actual runs** (17 original + 10 fixed-candidate), plus unknown activity in those two cancelled intermediate attempts. The 19-run matched comparison reuses nine baseline runs and is not additional execution. Reported LLM amounts are zero with original billing `complete=true`; actual charges are unknown and local/hosted runtime is unmetered. No free-run, speed or cost claim. - Original and new results pass the canonical result validator. Retained source, input, result/API/story/final-ledger/usage run identities and artifact hashes were audited. Each downloaded package omits the pre-upload-declared `playwright-output/.last-run.json`; primary result, API, final ledger, story, screenshots and reached ZIP oracles are retained. No full-package completeness claim. - The initial redundant local full test invocation was stopped after 2,492.5 seconds once that head's CI passed; completed groups recorded 23,045 passes and 87 skips. That local invocation remains incomplete. Current full CI is the repository-wide test evidence. ## Risks A revised completion can schedule another sequential parent run and its normal budget use. A parent Done claim remains non-terminal while a newer native child result awaits delivery. Company scope, governance, workspace-finalization, terminal cancellation and exact watchdog behavior remain enforced. This changes native completion authority and scheduling, so the durable identity, replay and concurrent-commit controls matter. The two live trials qualify the observed revised-child handoff, not broad task quality or causal/general equivalence. Claude's final prose still gives an attachment ID without a clickable URL, although the registered revised artifact passes the original download oracle. Completion before any new child result exists, removal of unfinished dependencies and broader instruction reduction remain separate questions. There is no schema or prompt change. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6 family, with repository inspection, shell execution and code editing. The exact serving model ID, reasoning setting and context window are not exposed in this session. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(native): surface model capacity errors and retry automatically (#15347)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Native runs preserve provider events and results, then decide task state. > - Codex can fail a turn because the selected model is temporarily at capacity. > - Paperclip displayed a generic native-session failure and left the task in recovery. > - A known capacity failure needs a clear message and a durable delayed retry. > - This pull request uses committed terminal evidence, the status-effect ledger, and existing dispatch gates. > - The task can continue automatically without an unbounded retry loop or a model switch. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Related: #13993 adds launcher capacity deferrals before provider startup. This change handles a committed native Codex `serverOverloaded` terminal after provider work has started. **What happened?** A native Codex turn ended with `codexErrorInfo: serverOverloaded` and “Selected model is at capacity. Please try a different model.” Paperclip saved the result, showed a generic failure, and required recovery instead of waiting and retrying. **Expected behavior** Show the capacity error directly. Schedule bounded retries after a short delay. Preserve saved work and honor current execution gates. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Run a native Codex task. 2. Commit a `turn.failed` event with `serverOverloaded`, then accept a failed result for the same turn. 3. Inspect the task error and its recovery state. The regression test reproduces this without a paid provider call. **Paperclip version or commit** Reproduced against master `16b7db35ffa0f9a95913c8cbdeea3d595435691f`. ## What Changed - Classify capacity failures from committed runner events and the pinned execution identity. Preserve accepted results and display the specific capacity error. - Atomically persist one scheduled successor with the status decision. Retry after one minute, then two minutes. Share the existing failure budget and stop after two automatic retries. - Reuse dispatch gates for ownership, task holds, dependencies, budget, and locks. Wait for predecessor execution, finalization, and cleanup before claiming a retry. - Preserve pending reviewer authority and suppress retries after reassignment or a successor claim. - Consume the failed run's resume receipt and delivered wake input. Rebuild ordinary continuation from the failed run so explicitly resumed tasks can retry without borrowing one-run authorization. - Label scheduled retries “Model at capacity.” Add a Storybook example and avoid duplicate punctuation in the existing retry card. - Add regression coverage and document the runtime contract. ## Verification - Targeted recovery and UI suites: 125 tests passed. Additional final cleanup and lock regressions passed. - Latest-head continuation and authorization regressions: 57 tests passed, including all four capacity integration tests against an isolated PostgreSQL database. - Rechecked all four capacity integration tests with the full runner's isolated `PAPERCLIP_HOME`, config, temporary directory, and serial fork settings: passed. - `pnpm -r typecheck`: passed. Final server typecheck passed. - `pnpm build`: passed. - `pnpm check:token-gates`: passed. - Browser: checked the real Storybook card. It shows the capacity message, automatic retry time, and existing Retry now action. - `pnpm test:run`: attempted and restarted after an interruption. The resumed run started before the final review correction and was stopped after recorded workspace/native test failures and the five-minute Git streaming timeout already documented on master. Exit 130; no complete local full-suite pass is claimed. Current-head isolated capacity tests and the complete CI suite pass. - A combined local recovery-suite attempt also hit PostgreSQL initialization failures at this macOS host's global shared-memory limit (32 slots). The focused recovery suites passed separately; final-head capacity tests also pass with the full runner's isolated environment settings. - Latest-head GitHub checks: all 56 checks green, including general and serialized test shards, browser E2E, typecheck, build, Runner verification, and canary dry run. No merge conflicts. - Greptile: 5/5 on `813a470b8c18c05aeb7e31e63e573c3a3a2f5cac`, with zero unresolved findings after fixing the resumed-task continuation issue. ## Risks - Capacity retries can repeat a task turn after partial work. They start a fresh provider session with task history and wait for predecessor cleanup. They do not resume the failed turn. - Retries retain the configured model unless an operator changes configuration. Persistent overload consumes the existing failure budget and then needs an explicit retry or model change. - Only run-bound native Codex `serverOverloaded` failures qualify. Usage-limit exhaustion, model/account incompatibility, unbound text, and unknown provider failures retain their current recovery behavior. - No schema migration is required. ## Model Used - OpenAI GPT-6 through Codex. The exact model ID and context-window size are not exposed to this session. Used reasoning, repository tools, code execution, and browser verification. No subagents. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [ ] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

Diagnose native model rejections and preserve repairable reviews (#15304)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip manages agent execution and recovery. > - A native provider can return a failed turn with an accepted result. > - This path replaced a structured model rejection with a generic failure. > - Finalization could also queue the same failed request for recovery. > - This change retains a bounded model and authentication diagnosis. > - Workers wait for a configuration fix; reviews retain their assignment. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **Describe the bug** A native Codex turn can report HTTP 400 because the selected model is not supported by its ChatGPT connection. When the turn also returns a failed semantic result, the run shows `Native session failed` and `adapter_failed`. The native failed-result finalizer can create a retry intent before the adapter error is saved. **To Reproduce** Use a native Codex session that returns a structured `invalid_request_error` model/ChatGPT rejection and an accepted failed result. The regression tests reproduce this with a stub provider and a real isolated PostgreSQL database. No provider account or live request is needed. **Expected behavior** Show an actionable error and stop automatic retries of the rejected request. Block the current worker for a configuration fix. Preserve a pending review so its reviewer can explicitly retry after repair and resolve the original assignment. A stale run must not block a new task owner or override a completed review. **Version and deployment mode** The affected source path is present at `858094ba81`. This change applies to native Codex execution in local and remote environments. Related work: #13853 covers CLI protocol compatibility, #14942 refreshes runtime/model pins, and #12767 proposes legacy adapter model validation. This change concerns accepted native failed results and does not replace those changes. ## What Changed - Recognize only a bounded structured HTTP 400 provider error for the exact selected model and failed turn. - Save a fixed actionable error and four fixed diagnostic fields. Exclude raw provider text and model names from the new diagnostic. - Re-derive finalization evidence from the pinned execution and committed runner event, including its canonical hash and identity bindings. - Block only the current worker. For a current pending reviewer, preserve the original review decision and status version, release execution, and create no automatic recovery action. Recheck execution ownership under the issue lock. Preserve superseded and completed reviews. - Keep unknown failures, accepted results, cleanup, and ownership fences intact. Advance the status policy version to `phase6-v8`. - Route this exact failure code through the existing configuration recovery path. Permit an authenticated Board retry of this native failure only for its saved, still-pending review; discard caller review markers and revalidate at dispatch. ## Verification - Node 24: `pnpm -r typecheck` and `pnpm build` passed. - Independent focused validation: 222 tests passed across the new observer and PostgreSQL integration suites, status arbiter, diagnostic redaction, recovery classification, wake policy, and wake use cases. - The integration tests use actual result persistence, finalization, and the wake dispatcher. They cover zero retry dispatch for an authorized rejection, repeated reconciliation, pending/superseded/resolved reviews, reassignment, and a same-agent successor at an unchanged status version. - Final-commit verification: full typecheck and build passed; independent route/integration/arbiter/review validation passed 136 tests with no remaining source findings. This includes authenticated retry refusals, actual heartbeat retry admission, atomic queued-review claim, and acceptance of the original review. - The local aggregate test run was stopped to avoid duplicating the canonical Linux CI aggregate on this development host. Its partial log showed no failures; no full local-suite pass is claimed. The full hosted Linux CI aggregate passed on the final commit. - No live provider calls, runtime changes, or schema changes were made. ## Risks The classifier is intentionally narrow. A changed provider response format remains an unknown failure. No global model restriction is introduced. The worker blocker requires current task authority and does not replace newer assignments or completed review decisions. A pending review remains in review and requires an explicit retry after configuration repair; it is not rebound to a new status decision. The retry decision is durable. There remains a small existing gap between status/effect commit and diagnostic metadata persistence; a crash there can leave a generic diagnostic while preserving the blocked decision. No schema migration is required. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6, with reasoning, tool use, and code execution. The exact serving model suffix and context-window size are not exposed in this session. ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either (a) linked existing issues with `Fixes: #` / `Closes #123` / `Refs #123` OR (b) described the issue in-PR following the relevant issue template - [x] I have not referenced internal/instance-local Paperclip issues or links (only public GitHub references) - [x] My branch name describes the change and contains no internal ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run focused tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(runner): settle accepted results after shutdown failures (#15217)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip manages AI agents and the tasks they perform. > - The native runner saves tool results and completion reports before it releases a session. > - Large project discovery responses can exceed the durable command limit. > - A shutdown failure can leave a saved answer waiting for workspace repair. > - Recovery reused the old assessment for a different status decision, which violated a database constraint. > - This pull request bounds discovery responses and lets recovery commit the saved result after workspace repair. > - The benefit is a task that reaches its correct final status without another provider turn. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** A native run can save its final answer, fail during shutdown, and leave the task In Progress after workspace repair succeeds. Reconciliation tries to reuse the failed-workspace assessment for a new decision. The one-decision-per-assessment constraint rejects the write. Replaying the old decision can also retain a fresh coordinator lease. Separately, retained session cleanup only recognizes the old `adapter_failed` label. The project-list tool returns full project records, including large descriptions and workspace configuration. A large response exceeds the runner's durable command limit. The settlement diagnostic previously recorded only a failure flag. **Expected behavior** Project discovery stays within the command limit. Recovery finishes the saved result after workspace repair, releases its lease, and preserves the original error for inspection. It does not repeat provider work or relax session ownership checks. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Return large project records from `list_projects` and observe an oversized semantic result. 2. Persist an accepted native completion result, then record a shutdown failure. 3. Finalize with a failed workspace, repeat that attempt, then record successful workspace repair. 4. Reconcile the run. Before this fix, the issue stays In Progress. **Paperclip version or commit** Reproduced on `a386a599983519eb1d399f8b770bfccdb2a74762`. **Deployment mode** Self-hosted server with Paperclip Runner. Related transport work: #12208 drains queued events; #12241 resumes interrupted semantic calls. This change addresses bounded project discovery and accepted-result finalization. ## What Changed - Read bounded project summary projections from the database and return at most 50 authorized summaries with a continuation cursor and explicit description truncation. Agent and run trust boundaries narrow the database candidates; project-specific policies still receive full authorization. Only visible projects determine continuations. The default project-list API remains unchanged. - Record bounded, content-free settlement failure causes for command limits, storage errors, and rejected dispatch. - Include workspace state in assessment identity. Preserve the initial assessment for interrupted finalization, and commit replacement assessment and decision references together. - Release the coordinator lease when an existing decision is replayed, without repeating its effects. - Clear stale errors when recovery succeeds and retain them in `recoveredExecutionFailure`. - Accept both current and legacy close-failure labels in the existing exact-state cleanup path. - Add regression tests and update the tool contracts and recovery documentation. ## Verification - Red: the new project paging, settlement diagnostic, current cleanup label, and repaired-workspace regressions failed on the original implementation. - Green: protocol/catalog/tool checks (117 tests), the full project-tool and finalizer suites (47 tests), cleanup ownership cases (70 tests), and cleanup sweep cases (4 tests) pass. Database-backed pagination covers large descriptions/configuration, complete enumeration, uppercase cursors, agent/run restrictions, project-policy scope contributions, and identical results/cursors when hidden projects are added. - The initial CI failures in interrupted Board waits, contended endpoint proof, and semantic schema validation were reproduced and fixed; all affected cases pass locally. - `pnpm -r typecheck` — passed. - `pnpm build` — passed. - `pnpm test:run` — started before the review corrections; it spanned several source revisions and was stopped after reporting old-behavior and timing failures. It is not claimed green. Fresh project and recovery suites pass; the recovery suite also passes all 25 cases with the broad runner’s isolated home/config. The Slack timing case passed in isolation. Latest-head CI is the authoritative complete test matrix. - Existing authorization suite — 66 tests passed. - Latest-head CI on `8e5763d915aa6f375bdab6601996899ea01496fc` — 55 checks passed, 4 intentionally skipped, no pending or failing checks. - Greptile — 5/5, zero unresolved threads on the same commit. - `git diff --check` — passed. ## Risks - `list_projects` now returns summaries. Callers must follow `nextCursor` and use the authorized project API for full records. Candidate narrowing is only an optimization: project policy and responsible-user authorization remain authoritative. - Assessment identity changes for workspace finalization. Existing evidence remains intact; no migration is needed. - Cleanup still requires matching identities, settled tool evidence, and verified process ownership. Unknown tool outcomes remain blocked from session reuse. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, based on GPT-6, with reasoning, code execution, and GitHub tools. The exact serving model ID and context window are not exposed in this session. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(chat): resolve approvals and preserve unanswered questions (#14613)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Agents ask for decisions and optional details through cards in chat. > - A clear approval in a message can leave the matching card pending. > - An unanswered question can also block an unrelated later reply. > - Decisions need a saved source message, while optional questions need to remain answerable in history. > - This pull request records conversational decisions and lets users move on from questions and answer them later. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** Native Claude and Codex could act on approval in chat while the original approval card stayed pending. Pending question forms stayed above the composer, were absent from history, and could suppress later chat replies. A late native question answer could wait for a finished run to reconnect. **Expected behavior** The active agent records a clear approval or refusal against the exact card and user message. Ambiguous replies do not grant consent. Users can send another message without answering a question. The question remains pending in history and can be reopened and answered later. The saved answer reaches the agent. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Ask an agent to propose work with a confirmation card, then approve it in chat. 2. Check that the original card records that approval before work starts. 3. Ask an interactive question, send an unrelated message, and reload. 4. Open the unanswered question from history and submit an answer. Related work: #14408 added completion delivery. #14607 tests completion reporting turns. Neither records conversational answers on approval cards. ## What Changed - Add a confirmation endpoint backed by a user comment, with schema validation, OpenAPI discovery, and native Plan-mode access. Ask mode remains read-only. - Check company, active run, actor, current session, message provenance, revision, and resolver policy. Save the decision and audit in one transaction. Retries do not repeat effects. Emit resolution telemetry after commit. - Give fresh and resumed chat turns the actual pending confirmation identities. Teach agents to save clear conversational decisions before acting and to clarify ambiguity. - Keep unanswered Agent Chat questions as compact history entries. A newer user message closes the old form. Question cards never contribute to composer pending counts or navigation, including after dismissing a fresh form. The history card is the sole reminder; clicking it restores that exact form and draft. - Preserve Agent Chat questions when later messages or questions arrive. Historical ordinary inputs no longer gate later chat replies. Current-run requests, task execution, and governed approvals keep their gates. Remove the special acknowledgement-publication proof helpers that this rule replaces. - Route answers to finished native runs through durable fresh-wake delivery, with existing idempotency and source-question context. Settle late replies against contiguous completed conversation turns and freeze their history replay; failed, unhandled, and newly arriving messages remain actionable. - Add real-component Storybook scenarios, database and UI regressions, and a three-turn native Claude/Codex E2E case. Capture distinct, UI-ready screenshots and report the individual assertions. ## Verification - Focused decision/publication/UI regressions after merging master: 288 passed; subsequent UI draft, failed-send, and conversation checks: 199 passed. - Native question and durable delivery regressions: 106 passed, including all four terminal run states and exactly-once late delivery. Seven targeted regressions fail against the original implementation and pass with the fix. - Latest conversation/decision/native-delivery regressions after the master merge: 121 passed. Covers completed progress, missing or failed intervening turns, new messages during a late reply, stale sessions, and frozen retry/replay boundaries. Four new assertions fail before the ordering fix. - E2E support suite after the master merge: 792 passed. Negative controls reject expired cards, wrong questions/answers, stale or missing replies, unrelated clarification forms, and unexpected tasks. - The embedded-browser walkthrough caught one additional defect: dismissing a fresh question still showed a composer badge. Both Cancel and close-button regressions failed before the fix. The fix at `65f2ade12` passes 170 chat-thread tests and 792 E2E support tests. After merging master, 232 chat-thread/confirmation tests, server/UI typechecks, and token gates pass. The preview and two-provider live E2E pass at `e5512a206`; Greptile is 5/5 with zero unresolved threads at that commit. All 55 checks are now successful at `e5512a206` (four conditional checks skipped), including the aggregate verification gate and clean-install canary test. The first attempt was interrupted by simultaneous CI worker shutdowns; one failed-job rerun passed without code changes. - [Published Storybook](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/storybook/branches/codex~2Fchat-approval-resolution/?path=/story/chat-comments-agent-chat-unanswered-questions--moved-on): nine real-component scenarios. Manually exercised move on, reopen, preserve draft, answer later, answer one of multiple questions, and a custom mobile answer in the embedded browser. Retested fresh Cancel and close-button dismissal in the updated build, then reopened and submitted the preserved Green selection and inspected its answered receipt. Static preview has no live model/backend; its callbacks are fixture responses. - [First live campaign](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-36714504406-1/) reproduced the late-answer completion-state defect on both providers despite correct saved answers and acknowledgements. It also exposed a valid imperative clarification rejected by the old oracle. Both issues are fixed with regression controls; this failing run is retained as evidence. - [Four-cell qualification](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-36717804064-1/) passed 4/4 at `2bf8a1009`: unanswered-question return and ambiguous confirmation, each on native Claude and Codex. Inspected saved state, source-message decisions, visible cards, and agent replies. Both late-answer chats settled to waiting; no unrequested tasks were created. [Final branch rerun](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-36719666238-1/) passed 2/2 at `142630720`: the same unanswered-question journey after merging master, plus an additional screenshot and browser assertion for the actual late-answer acknowledgement. - [Composer-reminder E2E](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-36727006818-1/) passed 2/2 at `5b62c52d9`: native Claude and Codex, three turns each, with explicit no-badge assertions before and after reload. Inspected saved pending/answered state, both screenshots with a clear composer, and actual Blue acknowledgements; all five behavioral matchers passed per provider and neither created tasks. Cost coverage is partial; this is bounded workflow qualification. - [Fresh-dismissal E2E](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-36742773318-1/) passed 2/2 at `e5512a206`: native Claude and Codex, including fresh Cancel, clear composer, reopen, unrelated message, reload, late Blue answer, and actual agent acknowledgement. All five behavioral matchers pass per provider. Inspected the fresh-dismissal screenshots and saved pending/answered identity; neither created tasks. Cost coverage is partial (4/6 runs). - Prior evidence remains available in [the earlier campaign](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-36642252725-1/). Its early loading screenshot and overwritten final capture prompted the UI-ready, distinct screenshot fixes. ## Risks - The model interprets intent. The server verifies permission and provenance; it does not infer consent from text. Ambiguous and unrelated replies are not approvals. - Historical questions can accumulate. They remain visible, pending, and answerable; no automatic answer or expiry is invented. - The change to completion gates is scoped to Agent Chat and ordinary historical inputs. Current-turn and governed approvals retain their existing controls. - Live qualification is limited to the selected stories. Broader native onboarding finalization remains separate work. - No database migration. Telemetry adds no fields or values; the contract and README document the commit boundary. Privacy review was requested on the PR. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6 family, with reasoning, repository tools, code execution, and browser-test orchestration. The exact model ID and context-window size are not exposed to this session. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(server): continue unfinished tasks after status replies (#14626)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Native runs report their task outcome through a structured finish result. > - A Board comment can permit a passive wait for the next response. > - That exception accepted reports that also admitted blocking unfinished work. > - The task then stayed In Progress without a runner, and recovery treated the wait as healthy. > - This pull request rejects that contradiction and uses the existing bounded continuation path. > - Real wait conditions and protection against obsolete requests remain in force. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** An agent answered a status inquiry with `yielded` and `response_wake`. The same result listed blocking remaining work. The server accepted an indefinite wait without a question, approval, dependency, or pause. No further run was queued. **Expected behavior** Unfinished ordinary tasks must continue or have a recorded reason to wait. A status reply alone must not suspend the work. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Add a Board status inquiry to an unfinished assigned task. 2. Submit a successful native result with `yielded`, `response_wake`, and `remainingWork[].blocksCompletion: true`. 3. Leave the task without any real wait condition. 4. Observe that the old policy preserves In Progress with no continuation and suppresses recovery. **Paperclip version or commit** Reproduced in the native status policy at `da887ea3e`. The branch is based on current master. **Deployment mode** Authenticated server with the native Paperclip Runner. Related work: Refs #13338 (native response waits and recovery). Refs #12071 (separate legacy recovery and retry-state work). This change fixes the native unfinished-response-wait exception. ## What Changed - Reject contradictory finish reports while the provider can still correct them. - Route accepted unfinished response waits through the existing one-follow-up continuation budget. Repeated incomplete results create a visible recovery action. - Preserve questions, approvals, dependencies, pauses, conversation lifecycles, and superseded Board requests. - Recheck the current Board source in the decision transaction before queuing repair. - Let normal recovery reconsider old committed waits that report blocking work and still have a current source. - Add policy and database regression tests. Document the rule. ## Verification - `pnpm exec vitest run server/src/services/native-runtime/status-arbiter.test.ts server/src/__tests__/heartbeat-process-recovery.test.ts --no-file-parallelism`: 346 tests passed, no skips. - `pnpm -r typecheck`: passed. - `pnpm build`: passed. - `git diff --check origin/master...HEAD`: passed. - Final head `8f0824d9bb4d631f2347f8afffe5fff6d574cb69`: all CI checks green (54 passed, 2 intentionally skipped), including all general tests, serialized server suites, runner tests, eight E2E shards, and the canary dry run. - Greptile: 5/5 on the final head, with no unresolved review threads. - The broad local `pnpm test:run` encountered an unrelated timing failure in `workspace-runtime.test.ts` (waiting for managed process-tree listeners). That test passed on an isolated rerun. The duplicate broad run was stopped; the complete CI suite passed on the final commit. - The transaction-race regression reproduced an obsolete continuation before the fix. All 12 source-change cases now pass, covering passive waits, corrective continuations, and exhausted-repair decisions. ## Risks - Agents that previously parked unfinished ordinary tasks must now continue or record an actual wait condition. - Old contradictory waits become eligible for normal recovery. Existing ownership, budget, pause, and supersession checks still apply. - The rule uses the structured blocking-work flag. It does not infer omitted work from prose. - No schema, dependency, or UI change. ## Model Used OpenAI GPT-6 through Codex, with reasoning, repository inspection, code editing, and test execution. The session does not expose a more specific deployment identifier or context-window size. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix: stop repeated notifications for finalized run failures (#13739)
## Thinking Path
> - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for
work.
> - Native run reconciliation repairs saved execution outcomes after
interruptions.
> - The sweep also visits runs whose final results are already
committed.
> - An unchanged failed run still received a new status delivery ID on
every sweep.
> - The browser treated each delivery as a new failure after its short
duplicate window expired.
> - This pull request makes unchanged projections a no-op and suppresses
repeated or historical run toasts.
> - Operators receive fresh failure alerts without repeated alerts for
old work.
## Linked Issues or Issue Description
**What happened?**
An old failed run repeatedly produced failure toasts while the browser
remained open. The task could already be cancelled. Reconciliation
rewrote the same failed outcome and queued another status broadcast.
**Expected behavior**
An unchanged committed run must not queue a new status notification.
Repeated deliveries must still refresh cached state without another
toast.
**Steps to reproduce**
1. Finalize a native run with a failed result and successful workspace
finalization.
2. Deliver its pending execution status and cancel its task.
3. Replay finalization and status delivery on each periodic sweep.
4. Observe another failure broadcast for every sweep before this fix.

fix: complete native agent review handoffs (#13581)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work > - Native execution uses durable runs, issue locks, wake requests, and typed tool authority > - A child can finish with a native agent review request while its original assignee stays responsible for the work > - The reviewer then needs a bounded execution path that can inspect the child, record one decision, and finish safely > - Before this change, assignee-only gates rejected the reviewer or left the parent waiting after the child review ended > - This pull request adds typed reviewer admission, scoped reviewer tools, durable wake and recovery handling, and parent continuation evidence > - The benefit is that native review handoffs complete without changing child ownership or granting broad mutation access ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs: #13314 Refs: #13574 **What happened?** A native child run could report `needs_review` for an agent reviewer. The reviewer wake then failed assignee and execution-lock checks. The child remained in review and the parent remained waiting. **Expected behavior** The named reviewer should receive one durable wake. The reviewer should inspect the child and resolve the exact review card. The child assignee should stay unchanged. The parent should receive the recorded review outcome after the child reaches its terminal state. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Run a native task with a different named agent reviewer. 2. Keep the child assigned to its original worker. 3. Let the worker finish with a native completion review request. 4. Start the durable reviewer wake. 5. Resolve the review and finish the reviewer run. 6. Observe the child and parent state. **Paperclip version or commit** Base: `e926b1301`. PR head: `b31ad9ab8`. Live reviewer verification source: `eea171aae`. **Deployment mode** Built from source. **Installation method** Built from source (pnpm build). **Agent adapter(s) involved** Not adapter-specific (core bug). **Access context** Both. **Database mode** Embedded PostgreSQL in the isolated live test fixtures. ## What Changed - Add server-validated native review assignment facts. - Admit only the exact company, issue, source run, decision, revision, addressee, and resolver policy. - Give reviewer runs a narrow set of Paperclip read and resolve tools. File and shell access follow the configured agent and environment policy, so reviewers can run tests. - Separate server-owned reviewer instructions from untrusted persisted review data. Escape the data boundary; retain server-enforced authorization. - Keep the child assignee unchanged. Atomically claim the reviewer run, wake request, and issue execution lock. A competing lock prevents provider startup. - Require the exact running reviewer session and current issue lock to resolve its assigned card. Reject missing, unrelated, or terminal reviewer runs. - Add durable reviewer wake, lock, stale-card, and abandoned-run recovery handling. - Prevent duplicate native wake dispatches during deferred admission and recovery. - Carry accepted or rejected child review outcomes into parent task context and continuation evidence. - Add focused server, runner, and native protocol coverage. - Preserve upstream continuation rules. Add child review decisions as separate evidence, while keeping real human answers in their own field. - Return actionable completion validation feedback to both providers. Permit a corrected completion after rejection. Keep strict terminal acknowledgment validation. - Apply exclusive shared-workspace locks to sandbox environments. Local and SSH folders can run concurrently, including when old settings request serialization. - Repair test timing, native event parsing, and the review artifact assertion. Allow a valid reject, correct, and accept review sequence. Check the accepted card against its reviewer run and decision. Keep polling within the existing deadline when review acceptance precedes the parent wake projection; report a specific missing-continuation error at timeout. - Apply the ACPX pending-call limit to reserved finish/block calls, with capacity-release and cancellation tests. ## Verification - `pnpm build`: passed on `eea171aae`. - `pnpm -r typecheck`: passed on `eea171aae`. - `pnpm test:e2e:runner:unit`: 359 tests passed in 30 files on `b31ad9ab8`; runner E2E typecheck also passed. - `pnpm check:token-gates`: passed. - Focused DB review, reviewer authority, and prompt-boundary checks: 31 tests passed. They cover invalid reviewer runs, competing locks, atomic admission, duplicate claims, and valid resolution. - Heartbeat, workspace, and recovery checks: 30 tests passed. - ACPX sidecar suite: 27 tests passed. Moving the capacity guard back below reserved handling makes both new regression cases fail. - Four focused live continuation checks passed on their first attempt at `f15f55e0a`: answer updates scope (6/6 each on Codex and Claude) and question tool guidance (12/12 each). These cases do not use the reviewer prompt path changed afterward. - Fresh Codex and Claude review-handoff checks passed all 29 native checks each on their first attempt at `eea171aae`. Both runs received the expected fixed prompt and completed cleanup. Only the six selected live flows were tested; no full paid provider catalog run. - The final commit only extracts the existing test-harness timeout diagnostic into a shared helper and adds positive and negative coverage. Removing the accepted-review guard makes two regression assertions fail; restoring it passes all six timeout tests. Production runtime code, prompts, deadlines, and grading criteria are unchanged by this final commit. - Deadline regressions: a valid continuation delayed 20 seconds succeeds within its 30-second unit-test deadline; an absent wake returns a specific candidate-failure diagnostic at that same deadline. Both assertions failed before the fix. Production E2E deadlines remain unchanged. - Historical native failures remain recorded: Docker availability failures; a valid reject/correct/accept sequence that the first-card grader misread; and a test that rejected the gap between accepted child review and parent wake projection. No failed result was regraded. The latest tests use a protected reference to the pinned Docker image and the unchanged artifact oracle and time limits. - Full repository verification runs in GitHub CI. Local verification uses the focused suites above, full build, and full typecheck. An unchanged Codex shutdown timing test failed once in CI, passed in isolation, and its full shard passed on the final commit without changes to that test or its causal code path. The original failure is retained in the verification record. Greptile reviewed `b31ad9ab8` at 5/5 with no outstanding actionable findings. All review threads are resolved. All current-head CI gates passed, including the isolated native runner Docker build (55 successful checks; two skipped by the workflow). ## Risks - Reviewer admission depends on exact persisted decision and interaction bindings. A stale or changed card is rejected. - Paperclip control-plane tools are limited to inspection and review resolution. This is not a filesystem permission boundary; provider file and shell access retain the configured policy. - Deferred wake recovery changes dispatch receipt coalescing. A scheduler regression could delay a continuation if the receipt state is wrong. - Parent review outcomes are evidence for the model. They do not grant tool authority or change issue ownership. - This change does not address legacy lease-hold handoff behavior. > Roadmap review: native execution, review gates, and durable recovery are existing roadmap capabilities. This PR completes a narrow reliability path for those capabilities. ## Model Used OpenAI `gpt-6-astra` with reasoning, tool use, and code execution. OpenAI `gpt-5.6-luna` assisted with bounded implementation, review, and journal work. Context window size is not exposed by this session. Live test subjects use `gpt-5.6-sol` and `claude-sonnet-5`; they are not the PR authors. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

feat(observability): report terminal run failures to Sentry (#13446)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - The server records the state of each agent run. > - Terminal run failures need clear error tracking for operators. > - The server did not report terminal `failed` or `timed_out` transitions to Sentry. > - This pull request reports each genuine terminal failure transition with safe diagnostic data. > - The benefit is faster diagnosis without changing run control flow or exposing credentials. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** The server wrote terminal run failures but did not report them to Sentry. Operators could not see these failures in error tracking. **Expected behavior** The server should report each genuine transition to `failed` or `timed_out` to Sentry. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Run an agent task that reaches a terminal failure state. 2. Inspect the Sentry events for the server. 3. Observe that the terminal run failure has no matching Sentry event. **Paperclip version or commit** The change targets the current `master` branch. No public GitHub issue or pull request covers this change. ## What Changed - Add `captureRunFailure()` as a fail-open Sentry entry point. - Add `reportRunFailure()` to filter status, resolve the adapter, redact text, and report the failure. - Call `reportRunFailure()` beside each of the eight terminal status writers. - Report six diagnostic values: the instance host, task identifier, run identifier, error message, error code, and agent adapter. - Group events by error code and agent adapter while keeping the redacted message in the event. - Report only genuine transitions and avoid duplicate finalization events. - Keep Sentry failures outside run control flow. ## Verification - `pnpm vitest run server/src/services/__tests__/run-failure-report.test.ts server/src/__tests__/run-failure-sentry.test.ts server/src/__tests__/native-session-resumption.test.ts` - `pnpm vitest run server/src/services/execution-control-reconciliation.test.ts` - `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server typecheck` - The full continuous-integration suite must run on this pull request. ## Risks - The report path can add diagnostic events when Sentry is configured. - The report path returns without action when Sentry is not configured. - Redaction runs before length limits and before the event leaves the process. - The change has no migration and no schema change. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-5, tool use and code review support. The exact context window and reasoning configuration are not exposed by the runtime. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix: require explicit native completion reviews (#13314)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Native runs report their outcome through paperclip_finish. > - The server previously turned incomplete reports into human approval requests. > - Those requests could block a later successful run, even when no person had requested review. > - This pull request creates review cards only for explicit attention requests and withdraws proven old fallback cards. > - Agents receive useful completion feedback, while explicit approval gates and task state protections remain in force. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Related: #13266 removed reviews caused by policy upgrades. This change removes the separate completion fallback. **What happened?** An agent reported needs_review while waiting for checks without requesting a human decision. Paperclip created a generic Native completion review. A later successful report could not complete the task because that old card remained pending. **Expected behavior** Ordinary low-risk work completes after a valid done report, a successful run, and workspace finalization. Incomplete work stays with the agent. Explicit approval requests remain visible and must be resolved. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Complete a native run with needs_review and no attention requests. 2. Continue the task and submit a successful done report. 3. Observe that the old implementation leaves the task in review behind a generic confirmation card. ## What Changed - Require explicit attention requests to create native review cards. Route each request independently and preserve pending or declined decisions. - Withdraw only pending system cards with matching old decision, assessment, effect, contract, and prompt provenance. Preserve history and explicit or answered requests. - Reassess an affected current result without overwriting later task edits, runs, contracts, or workspace failures. - Return pending approval links and required actions through the completion tool. Reject contradictory done reports and empty review requests before accepting a result. - Allow one corrective continuation for incomplete results, then expose a recovery action. - Update status fixtures, database regressions, runner tests, and the completion contract documentation. ## Verification - `pnpm -r typecheck` passed after merging current master. - `pnpm build` passed after merging current master. - The combined branch passed 89 completion and Agent Chat tests. Other targeted tests passed: 170 external-chat and reconciliation tests; 50 runner-resume and control-plane tests; 13 arbiter tests; 7 chat delivery tests; 21 runner completion and runtime-context tests. - The full local test attempt exposed old review fixtures and a missing fake-provider binary. The fixtures are fixed and the helper is built. All affected suites pass in fresh reruns. The timing-sensitive Discord test also passed on rerun. - All latest-head CI checks passed, including build, typecheck, general and serialized tests, runner verification, browser tests, and canary dry run. Greptile is 5/5 with zero unresolved comments. ## Risks - Cleanup changes existing pending cards. It requires exact system provenance and only applies to low-risk agent-claim contracts. It does not delete history or dismiss explicit requests. - Status still commits after the turn and workspace finalization. Completion feedback reports current constraints and does not claim an early status commit. - Incomplete reports now request a bounded corrective run instead of an automatic approval. Repeated failures expose recovery. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6, with repository inspection, code execution, and test tools. The exact deployment identifier and context window size are not exposed in this session. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

feat: add experimental persistent agent chat (#13284)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Conversations must use the same tasks, controls, and execution history. > - Users need an ongoing chat with an agent without managing task properties. > - Agents should clarify and plan work, then hand execution to assigned project tasks. > - This pull request combines the reviewed Agent Chat stack for one squash merge. > - The benefit is persistent conversation with normal task governance and shared UI. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **Subsystem affected** Task lifecycle, agent runtime tools, shared task UI, and browser/paid runner tests. **Problem or motivation** Users need one persistent conversation with each agent. A separate chat store or renderer would duplicate task behavior and bypass existing controls. **Proposed solution** Use a task-backed chat per company, user, and agent. Reuse the task composer and transcript. Clarify and plan in chat, then create assigned project tasks with the relevant plan. Keep Agent Chat behind its own disabled-by-default experimental setting. **Roadmap alignment** This implements the task-backed direction in [CEO Chat](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/blob/master/ROADMAP.md#-ceo-chat). Related proposals: #2504 and #9693. Related request: #7981. The maintainer requested one squash merge of the complete stack. Consolidates the reviewed runtime [#13281](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/13281), backend [#13282](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/13282), and UI [#13283](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/13283) layers with this PR's E2E coverage. All four layers passed CI and received Greptile 5/5 before consolidation. This PR targets master and includes the complete feature. ## What Changed - Add personal canonical chat tasks with ordinary company visibility, immutable identity, idempotent first sends, and an idle waiting state. - Process `/new` in queue order. Preserve history, release a chat pause, and fence old provider context and delayed writes. - Keep chat lifecycle rules across recovery, finalization, assignment, task lists, and rollups. - Support research and plan revision in chat. Hand plans to ordinary assigned project tasks before execution starts. Reject new chat subtasks. - Add repository-aware project creation and discovery tools, including multiple repository IDs and GitHub URLs, authorization, idempotency, and durable project-created cards. - Reuse task UI components for chat, with starred/recent agent navigation and a separate `enableAgentChat` experimental flag. - Add deterministic browser tests and 24 paid chat cells across four Codex/Claude profiles, with validated reports and screenshots. - Integrate current master recovery, controller lease, queued-message, and task UI changes. Gate chat interruption and deferred promotion on ownership/feature policy. Guarantee lease renewal and active controls are stopped even if teardown fails. - Preserve master's migration 0273 and generate chat migration 0274 with idempotent replay for development databases. ## Verification - Prior exact heads of all four PRs passed Linux CI, including build, typecheck, general/serialized tests, and browser E2E. Each had Greptile 5/5 and no unresolved findings. - Integrated local verification passed: full repository typecheck and production build, Storybook build, token gates, 340 focused UI tests, all 20 deterministic chat browser tests, two migration replay tests, 88 focused chat/queue/native/controller tests, and provider/session regressions including real lease expiry. These include the three lifecycle regressions for the final admission/teardown fixes; server typecheck also passes. Current head `1268eda16cc2af892055917e7292f068820be135` has Greptile 5/5 with no unresolved findings and passing security scans. All final-head CI gates passed: build, full Runner verification, typecheck/release registry, canary, all general/serialized test shards, and all browser E2E shards ([CI run](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/34696739927)). Local PostgreSQL startup contention required serialized retries; skipped fixtures do not count as passing coverage. - The earlier paid campaign passed all 24 chat cells and retained 32 screenshots: [report](https://d1p6rlowie26tp.cloudfront.net/runner-e2e/campaigns/gha-34648511170-1/index.html?report=agent-chat#suite-agent-chat). It tested `abacbdfd2f660709ec37312cdb758284c8399d04`; it is prior evidence, not a paid run of this integrated head. - Manual check: enable Agent Chat in Experimental settings, open an agent, clarify and revise a plan, then hand off to an assigned project task. Stop a reply, send `/new`, and verify fresh context with retained history. Disable the setting and verify agent shortcuts/new chat turns are blocked. ## Risks - Queue/session integration can affect retries and delayed writes. Tests cover ownership, cancellation, reset boundaries, idle recovery, and ordinary task behavior. - Migration 0274 adds conversation fields and constraints. Replay is idempotent and preserves existing development chat history. - This combines the previously reviewed stack at the maintainer's request. Agent Chat remains off by default and is separate from Conference Room. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-6 Astra (`gpt-6-astra`), with reasoning, code execution, browser tools, and parallel review. The exact context-window size is not exposed in this session. Codex and Claude also ran as test subjects in the linked paid campaign. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

feat: add experimental native chat connectors (#13038)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - People also ask agents for work in their existing chat tools. > - Each external conversation needs one task and a current authorized source. > - Retries, Stop, and provider failures must not duplicate work or expose private data. > - The first chat PR establishes the opt-in provider and data contracts. > - This PR adds experimental channel integration and its durable control plane. > - Users can request work from connected channels and inspect delivery in Paperclip. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs #13100 and #13092. This is the second of exactly two chat PRs. Foundation #13100 is merged and changed 143 files. Runner prerequisite #13092 is also merged. This PR changes 400 files against master, below the 500-file review limit. It contains no wireframe images or HTML galleries. ## What Changed - Add native Slack, GitHub, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, and Discord chat connections. Keep chat disabled unless the operator enables experimental chat connectors. Preserve the production GitHub tool connection and its normal setup path. - Bind each provider bot identity to one immutable Paperclip agent. Bind each admitted external conversation to one task. Paperclip owns tasks, runs, permissions, and audit records. - Add durable admission, per-conversation queues, questions, task controls, progress, final replies, images, files, and delivery receipts. Board comments remain internal unless explicitly sent to the channel. - Check current identity, provider reach, resource access, credentials, runtime generation, and exact source before provider effects. Keep private responses private. Never send raw reasoning, private logs, credentials, or tool arguments. - Hold uncertain sends for explicit audited resolution. Make Board Send-to-channel atomic and idempotent. Keep reconnect and setup credentials in Paperclip secret storage. - Preserve current native-runner authority across retries, lost acknowledgements, and recovery. Keep immutable input and completion contracts separate from newer user input. Receipt reconciliation cannot launch a provider. - Reconcile chat close/new ordering and provider-effect lock order. Audit resource access changes in the same transaction. Submit only the selected resource from each UI toggle so stale pages cannot undo unrelated access changes. - Drain Codex stdout before certifying process exit. Bound the drain with the existing shutdown grace. Preserve observed terminal authority without treating an undrained process as successful or reusable. - Incorporate master `018ca5da` with its ACP Stop, mobile task layout, runner packaging, and official lock changes. Preserve dedicated chat-answer continuations in both directions when ordinary queued comments are adopted after Stop. - Fence late adapter readiness behind an earlier Stop for the same run. Preserve verified cleanup for registered adapters. Handle single Stop, agent pause, duplicate Stops, and failure release without creating a false cancellation receipt. - Incorporate master's `6dd48cad4` wake-queue extraction. Preserve exact failed-chat retry authorization and lineage, retired question-source suppression, and the block on generic recovery that would discard the admitted source. Fresh deferred input retains its separate promotion path. - Incorporate master `2a05b5ed3` and its queue-admission extraction, simplified transaction ports, and separate runner CI job. Preserve exact durable receipts, actor separation, and dedicated-answer isolation through the new module. A failed receipt insert rolls back the accompanying deferred-wake merge. ## Verification Current head: `afe19299d06253cb628eb398e91d1200ea9f412a`, incorporating master `2a05b5ed3457ea33efd6895520447d1d97fe98d8`. The conflicts are resolved. This successor fixes two test-harness boundaries exposed by CI: per-case route-module preparation and actual durable-save completion before intentional runner termination. Production code and all existing test/turn deadlines are unchanged. [Exact-head Greptile review](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/13038#issuecomment-5587250594) is **5/5**, completed September 10 at 13:20:55 UTC, with no actionable findings or open review threads. [Fresh exact-head CI](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/34481724341) passes **all 24 jobs**, including Build and both required aggregates. Normal exact-head guarded merge was attempted and rejected by the remaining branch approval policy: CODEOWNER review is required and no human approval is present. Normal **squash auto-merge is enabled** as of September 10 at 13:36:26 UTC. Requested CODEOWNERS have been notified; no approval bypass or self-approval was used. Earlier-head results below remain historical evidence, not qualification of this successor. - Final exact-head Linux evidence: 995/995 chat integration cases; 36/36 agent-skills routes; 35/35 runner live-session cases, including real process kill/resume; 1948 runner Vitest cases with three existing benchmark/platform guards; 870/870 API-authority cases; and 104 browser cases with four existing optional skips. Rust, conformance/replay, full repository build, typecheck, canary, all server/workspace shards, and both required aggregates pass with normal CI concurrency. Earlier failed attempts remain recorded below. - Latest test-only qualification: 141/141 route/permissions/authentication cases pass in separate cold forks, with plain server types and independent review clear. The real-runner suite passes 35/35, with plain runner types and independent review clear. A controlled premature-save acknowledgement fails as expected; matching ownership/effect/process evidence, rejected saves, real turn outcome, test abort, and pre-kill liveness are covered. No local reproduction of the original CI scheduling failure is claimed. The preceding [CI run](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/34479680858) passes 21/24 jobs, including all 995 Linux chat cases and browser aggregate (104 passed, four existing optional skips); only Build, the skills serialized shard, and the required verification aggregate fail. Its exact-head Greptile review was 5/5. Both failed job logs are retained. - Final fixture qualification: all eight focused Discord cases and all 995 chat integration cases pass. The exact modal statement/PID is observed before taking the real connection lock; the test then proves its actual blocking relationship before mutation. Original SQL execution, provider behavior, negative assertions, and 1s/15s timeouts remain unchanged. Independent review is clear and test/production hashes remain frozen. The preceding [CI attempt](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/34477184777) passed 22 jobs, including Build/runner, typecheck, canary, all other test shards, and browser aggregate (104 passed, four existing optional skips); the two fixture failures and failed verification aggregate remain recorded, not relabeled as a pass. - Current queue-module composition: 308/308 recovery/batching/queue/Stop tests; 995/995 full chat integration; 89/89 module tests, including real PostgreSQL receipt-insert rollback; 24/24 workflow/module-boundary tests; plain server and UI types. All four actual local process/ACP browser paths pass in 1.4 minutes. Fresh databases, no skips or retries, stable reviewed source hashes. The initial boundary failure is retained; its no-op service wrapper was removed without changing recovery context or weakening the check. An exploratory standalone test-directory typecheck fails because its new upstream transformation config is not a standalone typechecking project; standard CI/build does not invoke it, and no configuration was weakened to suppress those diagnostics. - The preceding head `e02a63d462ce5d47433b0aeb632bb6fd20aab1ba` passed [all 24 CI jobs](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/34436462958) and exact-head Greptile review at 5/5. Required CODEOWNER review prevented its normal merge before master advanced again. - Final extracted-module composition: 307/307 recovery, batching, queue and Stop-control tests; 995/995 full chat integration; 49/49 module tests including eight PostgreSQL adapter cases; and 19/19 issue-update tests. Plain server types pass. All four actual local process/ACP browser paths pass in 1.3 minutes. Fresh databases, no skips or retries in these cohorts, frozen source hashes, and independent review clear. - The preceding head `3e4e1c1c` passes [all PR CI jobs](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/34415826820), including Build and required `ci / verify` and `ci / e2e`. Both the original Rust failure and the previously load-sensitive lineage fixture pass with unchanged Linux concurrency. Master advanced afterward and required this reconciliation. - Final master composition: 448/448 focused UI tests, 186/186 adapter tests, 24/24 queue/control tests, and 11/11 packaging tests. Plain UI, server, shared, and adapter types pass. Token gates and diff checks pass. Independent server and UI reviews are clear. - Stop-registration regression: both real-service cases fail against exact `a95` source and pass with the fix. The full corrected recovery/control suite passes 265/265. Duplicate-owner and failed-Stop controls also pass. Plain server types pass. The readiness barrier prevents provider startup without adding an acknowledgment to an already terminal run. - Final qualification strengthens terminal-field equality and repeats both affected cases successfully on a fresh database. All four actual local process/ACP browser paths pass again in 1.3 minutes, without skips or retries. The final screenshot shows Cancelled, a paused subtree, retained input, and no error toast. - Two new actual-service regressions fail before the merge fix. They prove that queued-comment adoption could consume a dedicated chat answer or add unrelated input to that answer. The fixed four-case cohort passes, including ordinary upstream continuation and adapter Stop controls. Full recovery passes 257/257. All four actual local process/ACP Stop browser flows pass in 1.4 minutes, without skips or retries, on a fresh database. - The unchanged runner artifact was qualified with 171/171 transport tests, 870/870 API-authority tests, conformance 1/1, and replay 11/11. Six controlled reader tests prove the exit/drain repair. Its local serial Rust workspace passed 546 top-level cases plus two invoked helpers; the later passing Linux CI supplies default-concurrency evidence. - Prior exact-source full chat integration passes 995/995. Settings regressions cover concurrent stale pages, 501 destinations, pending state, rejected updates, and explicit retry. These deterministic tests do not prove live provider behavior. - Retained failed attempts and their causes are in the [qualification log](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/blob/afe19299d06253cb628eb398e91d1200ea9f412a/doc/plans/chat-adapters/2026-09-08-chat-queue-and-webhook-repair.md). The first merge adapter run timed out while macOS slept for 290 seconds. Its unchanged repeat passed with a temporary sleep guard. No assertion, deadline, or CI gate was weakened. Review commands include `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec vitest run src/__tests__/heartbeat-process-recovery.test.ts src/__tests__/issue-queued-comments-routes.test.ts` and `pnpm exec playwright test --config tests/e2e/playwright.config.ts tests/e2e/acp-stop-continuation.spec.ts`. Database suites require fresh disposable databases. See the [browser runbook](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/blob/afe19299d06253cb628eb398e91d1200ea9f412a/doc/plans/chat-adapters/2026-09-04-chat-adapters-browser-e2e-runbook.md) for provider setup and separate live acceptance steps. ## Risks - This remains experimental. Deterministic tests and bounded live evidence do not establish every provider feature, tenant, permission layout, or media shape. Teams work-tenant qualification is still open. - Failed and uncertain provider effects remain visible and can require operator action. A transport receipt does not prove recipient visibility. - Native controller and runner artifacts must remain compatible. Preserve lease ownership, terminal authority, source binding, and quarantine during future changes. - Access and audit rows commit together, but activity notifications remain best-effort. This is not a new durable event outbox. - The PR operation does not deploy a live server, replace its runner, or change provider permissions. Remaining live qualification is documented in the [temporary handoff](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/blob/afe19299d06253cb628eb398e91d1200ea9f412a/doc/plans/chat-adapters/2026-09-08-open-qualification-followups.md). ## Model Used OpenAI Codex assisted with implementation, tool execution, testing, and review. The work records `gpt-6-astra` assistance. The environment does not report a context-window size. No private reasoning traces are included. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(runner): persist warm Daytona workspaces (#12901)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip manages AI agent work and the execution state for each task. > - Remote agents run in sandbox environments such as Daytona. > - Daytona keeps files while a sandbox is stopped, but deletion removes those files. > - Runner Codex did not copy successful remote workspace changes back to the host workspace. > - A warm sandbox could therefore hide data loss until Daytona replaced or deleted the sandbox. > - This pull request makes the host workspace durable after every successful turn and keeps verified reusable sandboxes warm. > - The benefit is reliable multi-turn work across warm reuse, restart, stop, and sandbox replacement. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** A successful native Codex turn in Daytona could leave workspace changes only in the remote sandbox. A later warm turn appeared to work because it reused that filesystem. A replacement sandbox could start from stale host data and lose the successful changes. **Expected behavior** Paperclip must merge each successful remote turn into the authoritative host workspace before it completes the run. A verified warm lease may reuse its remote files. A replacement lease must reconstruct the exact durable workspace seed. **Steps to reproduce** 1. Run Codex in a reusable Daytona environment. 2. Write a file during one successful turn. 3. Replace the Daytona sandbox before the next turn. 4. Observe that the next turn can start without the prior file on the unpatched code. Related remote workspace foundation: #10070. ## What Changed - Added explicit `host_current`, `durable_seed`, and `adopt_remote` workspace preparation modes. - Added atomic, versioned native workspace descriptors and seed archives under `PAPERCLIP_HOME`. - Added real native sandbox export and three-way host merge before terminal result completion. - Added workspace-only recovery after a proposed result. Recovery does not submit another provider turn or consume the provider retry budget. - Added fail-closed handling when a sandbox with unexported changes is gone. - Kept healthy reusable Daytona sandboxes started for legacy Codex and Runner Codex. - Kept the Runner Codex process and provider session across verified warm turns. - Added the paid `daytona-warm-continuity` browser suite. It contains exactly the legacy Codex and Runner Codex cells. Each cell performs three measured turns. - Documented `pnpm test:e2e:runner -- --suite daytona-warm-continuity`. No package script was added. - Added no database migration. The metadata format is backward compatible and idempotent. ## Verification - `pnpm typecheck` - `pnpm test:e2e:runner:unit` — 114 passed - Native workspace, finalizer, session, and environment tests — 232 passed - Daytona provider tests — 150 passed - Workspace staging and merge tests — 98 passed - Runner transport tests — 63 passed - Legacy Codex restore tests — 5 passed - Rust format and compile checks pass through root typecheck - The paid Daytona suite was not run locally because the required Daytona, OpenAI, and immutable image credentials are not present. ## Risks - The main risk is an incorrect workspace identity or merge after a crash. Durable descriptors bind the run, workspace, lease, provider lease, local root, remote root, and baseline digest. Ambiguous evidence fails closed. - The host merge may conflict with concurrent host edits. The existing three-way merge and exclusion rules handle this case and surface failures. - A deleted sandbox cannot recover unexported bytes. Paperclip now blocks with `workspace_sync_out_unrecoverable` instead of reporting success or rerunning the provider. - There is no database migration. Descriptor writes and recovery are atomic and idempotent. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex with GPT-5. The run used agentic reasoning, repository inspection, code execution, test execution, Git, and GitHub CLI tools. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge |

feat(telemetry): add the agent.task_run event and emit it at every terminal run transition (#12809)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work > - Paperclip records agent run outcomes through telemetry and run lifecycle services > - Terminal run transitions need one consistent event for outcome analysis > - The current paths do not report every terminal transition through one event > - This pull request adds the agent.task_run event and emits it at each terminal transition > - The benefit is complete run outcome data without exposing raw task identifiers ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What existing behavior does this improve?** Paperclip telemetry reports agent activity, but it does not report every terminal task run through one event. **Subsystem affected** Cross-cutting (multiple of the above): packages/shared telemetry and server run lifecycle services. **Current behavior** Several run paths write a terminal status without a matching agent.task_run telemetry event. **Proposed behavior** Each terminal run transition emits one agent.task_run event. The event records the terminal state and uses the existing pseudonym helper for the optional task identifier. **Reason and benefit** Complete terminal-run data helps operators measure agent outcomes. The pseudonym helper prevents the raw task identifier from leaving the installation. **Breaking changes** None. The change adds an event and keeps existing event behavior compatible. ## What Changed - Add the agent.task_run telemetry contract and client helper. - Reuse the existing pseudonym helper for the task identifier. The helper hashes the identifier with a per-installation salt and returns 16 hexadecimal characters. The raw identifier never leaves the installation. Existing identifiers do not move. - Emit one event from each legacy, native, recovery, and issue terminal transition. - Keep emissions outside database transactions and make delivery best-effort. - Add regression tests for event shape, hashing, terminal transitions, and emission failures. - Document the event and its privacy rule in the telemetry data contract. ## Verification - `npx tsc --noEmit` in `server/` passes at the submitted commit. - The pull-request CI suite must pass. CI is the authority because local Vitest has a known dependency artifact. - The added regression tests cover event output shape, per-installation hash divergence, raw identifier handoff, omitted identifiers, and non-throwing emits. ## Risks - A missed terminal path could reduce event coverage. - Telemetry delivery remains best-effort and cannot change run finalization. - The pseudonym helper uses installation-specific state, so identifiers differ between installations. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-5, tool use and code execution. Context window details were not provided. ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either (a) linked existing issues with `Fixes: #` / `Closes: #` / `Refs #` OR (b) described the issue in-PR following the relevant issue template - [x] I have not referenced internal/instance-local Paperclip issues or links (only public GitHub `#NNN` / `github.com/paperclipai/paperclip` URLs) - [x] My branch name describes the change (e.g. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I have addressed all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

feat(runner): add Codex-native application integration (#12591)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - The runner package is useful only when the application can start, observe, and recover a native Codex run safely. > - Existing direct adapters must keep their current execution and finalization paths. > - The application boundary therefore needs additive persistence, authorization, coordination, and recovery behind an explicit experimental adapter. > - This pull request adds that Codex-only boundary without activating generalized providers, remote environments, or the later task/SDK surfaces. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **Subsystem affected** Shared contracts, database persistence, adapter utilities, server native-runtime services, and the experimental Paperclip Runner adapter. **Problem or motivation** The already-landed runner package has a qualified Codex path, but the application needs durable native-run state, guarded runtime selection, authenticated coordination, tool security, finalization, and recovery before the experimental adapter can be exercised safely. **Proposed solution** Add a Codex-only `paperclip_runner` application path behind the existing default-off native-runner setting. Bind native state and coordination to company/run identity, preserve persisted-run recovery, and leave every direct adapter on its existing legacy execution path. **Alternatives considered** The earlier stack boundary introduced a generalized executor and remote-environment lifecycle here. That made this PR depend on implementations in higher PRs and changed reusable sandbox behavior globally. Those pieces are now deferred together to #12592. **Roadmap alignment** ROADMAP.md does not list a conflicting native-runner integration project. This change adds the application boundary for the existing Runner architecture. ## What Changed - Added native run/result/finalization/provider-trace persistence, shared validators, and idempotent migration/replay coverage. - Added guarded Codex-only runtime selection, authenticated PRP coordination, recovery, finalization, and interaction services. - Added run/company-bound tool-gateway authorization, credential redaction, SSRF protections, and replay-safe behavior. - Added the explicit `paperclip_runner` adapter behind the default-off rollout setting. - Preserved legacy answered-question wake projection and direct-adapter execution/finalization paths. - Hardened cancellation so only owned in-memory child processes are signaled; persisted recycled PIDs/process groups are never trusted. - Retained the narrow Claude ACPX isolated-context security follow-up discovered after #12590. - Deferred the generalized executor, provider ingress, remote lifecycle, SDK/lab/eval work, release-process changes, and lockfile. ## Verification - Changed-file delta against `master`: 133 files. - GitHub Actions is the authoritative verification environment for this PR. - Full CI, security, and Greptile review will run on this lowest unmerged stack PR. - Local tests/build/typecheck were not run because this checkout is resource constrained. - Static diff/reference checks pass, and `pnpm-lock.yaml` is unchanged. ## Risks - This touches central heartbeat and agent-route code, so legacy compatibility is the primary risk. - Runtime selection remains Codex-only and explicit; direct Codex, Claude, OpenCode, process, HTTP, and plugin adapters remain on their existing paths. - Fresh native starts fail closed while the rollout flag is off; persisted native records remain readable and recoverable. - Cancellation, company/run binding, tool calls, status decisions, and completion writes are guarded or replay-safe. > For core feature work, check [ROADMAP.md](ROADMAP.md) first and discuss it in #dev before opening the PR. Feature PRs that overlap with planned core work may need to be redirected. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-5.6, with repository tools, code execution, and parallel agent review. ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either linked existing issues or described the issue in-PR following the relevant issue template - [x] I have not referenced internal or instance-local Paperclip issues or links - [x] My branch name describes the change and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id - [ ] I have run tests locally and they pass — GitHub Actions is authoritative for this resource-constrained checkout - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented risks above - [ ] All Paperclip CI and security gates are green - [ ] Greptile is 5/5 with no open actionable findings - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before merge ## Stack - Position: 3 of 5 overall; lowest of 3 currently unmerged - Base: `master` - Previous: [#12590](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/12590), qualified Claude ACPX runtime — merged - Next: [#12592](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/12592), generalized Codex executor, task experience, and developer SDKs --------- Co-authored-by: Dev Agent <dev@paperclip.ing> |
