fix(ui): allow touch scrolling in new-task pickers (#14599)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - The new-task composer lets users select an assignee and override its model. > - On phones, these selectors open as large sheets outside the task dialog DOM. > - The parent dialog's scroll lock cancels touch drags in those sheets. > - This pull request gives each mobile sheet its own modal scroll boundary. > - Users can scroll to an option, select it, and continue editing their task. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** An iPhone Safari user could not drag through the assignee or model list in the new-task composer. The list stayed at the top. A touch-enabled Chromium reproduction also showed canceled touchmove events and an unchanged scroll position. **Expected behavior** A finger drag scrolls the list. A tap selects an option. Closing the picker preserves the task draft and selected values. **Steps to reproduce** 1. At phone width, open New Task in a company with enough agents to overflow the picker. 2. Open Assignee and drag upward through the list. 3. Select a Codex agent, open Codex options, choose Custom, and open the model selector. 4. Repeat the drag with enough models to overflow the available viewport. **Paperclip version or commit** Reproduced on `e5bf9d49a`. The fix is rebased onto `b3eb03fcb`. **Deployment mode** Local development in an isolated test instance. The user reported iPhone Safari. Browser automation uses native Chromium touch input at phone dimensions; a physical iPhone was not available. Related: #14250 introduced the large mobile entity picker sheets. Duplicate search found no existing fix for their touch scroll boundary. ## What Changed - Use modal Radix popovers for mobile entity sheets. Their lists can scroll while the background stays locked. - Suppress opening when Radix restores trigger focus after dismissal. Escape and outside taps now close the picker without reopening it. - Add a failing-before/fixed-after regression for a mobile sheet inside a parent dialog. - Add a browser test for native touch scrolling in both lists, tap selection, draft retention, close-button/Escape/outside dismissal, and desktop mouse/keyboard selection. - Document the browser test command. ## Verification - Passed `pnpm -r typecheck`, `pnpm build`, and `pnpm check:token-gates`. - Passed 41 focused tests for `InlineEntitySelector` and `NewIssueDialog`. - Passed the new browser test against a disposable instance running this worktree. It uses 22 real fixture agents and a fixed 24-model catalog. It covers 390×844 and 390×430 phone viewports and a 1280×900 desktop viewport. - Inspected the rendered new-task form and both selectors. Selections returned to the draft with its title intact. - `pnpm test:run` was attempted and stopped after confirming that local database suites were skipping because macOS has exhausted its system semaphore limit (`initdb`: `could not create semaphores: No space left on device`). It did not complete locally. The complete test matrix passed in Linux CI, including all 71 tool-gateway tests. - All 150 browser tests passed in CI, including the new native-touch regression. - Greptile reviewed the latest commit at 5/5. Its desktop focus finding is fixed and the review thread is resolved. All checks on `2ab22727ca768b4134c9c840bbc8e4c80d7da674` are complete: 53 passed, 2 intentionally skipped Storybook deployment checks, and the Snyk status passed. ## Risks Low risk. Mobile selectors now own focus and scroll isolation. This changes their modal behavior, so the tests cover nested dismissal and focus return. Desktop selectors remain non-modal. No schema, API, or dependency changes. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex (GPT-6), with reasoning, repository inspection, code execution, and browser testing. The exact backend deployment ID and context-window size are not exposed in this session. ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either (a) linked existing issues with `Fixes: #` / `Closes #` / `Refs #` OR (b) described the issue in-PR following the relevant issue template - [x] I have not referenced internal/instance-local Paperclip issues or links (only public GitHub `#NNN` / `github.com/paperclipai/paperclip` URLs) - [x] My branch name describes the change (e.g. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(ui): use large mobile selector modals (#14250)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - The new task dialog lets an operator assign work on a phone. > - The mobile picker used fixed coordinates inside the Radix wrapper. > - iOS Safari already makes fixed coordinates relative to the visual viewport. > - The old code added the visual viewport offset a second time. > - This pull request removes the second offset and gives the mobile wrapper full viewport geometry. > - The benefit is a visible picker and search field when the iOS keyboard opens. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What happened?** The assignee and project pickers could move outside the visible screen in the new task dialog on iOS. **What did you expect to happen?** The picker and its search field must stay visible above the bottom edge and the software keyboard. **Steps to reproduce** Open the new task dialog on an iPhone. Select Assignee or Project. The picker can move outside the visual viewport when Safari pans the page. **Paperclip version or commit** The problem exists after the change in PR #13343. **Deployment mode** The problem affects the board UI in local and authenticated modes. Refs #13343 ## What Changed - Use visual viewport local coordinates for the new task dialog. - Give the mobile Radix popper wrapper full viewport geometry. - Render both shared selector components as large, titled mobile modals. - Keep desktop selectors as anchored popovers. - Cover the new-task assignee, new-task project, composer assignee, and generic searchable selector in Storybook. - Add iPhone-sized Storybook states for the assignee and project pickers. - Update viewport tests for the corrected coordinate model. ## Verification - `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/ui exec vitest run src/components/NewIssueDialog.test.tsx src/components/InlineEntitySelector.test.tsx` - `pnpm check:token-gates` - Playwright used the iPhone 14 device profile. All mobile modals were inside the 390 by 664 CSS viewport. - Each mobile modal was `x=16, y=16, width=358, height=632`. - A desktop check kept the anchored popover at `width=320, height=211`. ## Risks - Low risk. The CSS only changes narrow mobile viewports. - The full-screen popper wrapper does not receive pointer events. The picker still receives pointer events. > For core feature work, check [`ROADMAP.md`](ROADMAP.md) first and discuss it in `#dev` before opening the PR. See `CONTRIBUTING.md`. ## Model Used - OpenAI GPT-5.6, Codex agent with tool use and code execution. ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either (a) linked existing issues with `Fixes: #` / `Closes #` / `Refs #` OR (b) described the issue in-PR following the relevant issue template - [x] I have not referenced internal/instance-local Paperclip issues or links (only public GitHub `#NNN` / `github.com/paperclipai/paperclip` URLs) - [x] My branch name describes the change and contains no internal task ID - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant Storybook documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [ ] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [ ] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

fix(runner): persist warm Daytona workspaces across turns (#12904)
## Thinking Path > - Daytona preserves a stopped sandbox filesystem, but deleting or replacing a sandbox removes its only remote copy. > - Warm reuse therefore improves latency but cannot be Paperclip's durability boundary. > - The host execution workspace must remain authoritative after every successful turn, while same-run recovery must avoid overwriting unexported remote work. > - Result proposal, workspace export/merge, and terminal completion need a durable, replayable ordering so a crash never starts a duplicate provider turn. > - A paid browser acceptance suite must exercise both legacy Codex and Runner Codex for three real turns on one continuously warm Daytona sandbox. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs #12901. Runner Codex did not previously export successful Daytona workspace changes back to the authoritative host workspace. That made warm reuse depend on Daytona's remote filesystem and left deleted/replacement sandboxes without a reliable reconstruction path. The existing paid fixture also lacked a focused three-turn continuity case for both Codex adapters. ## What Changed - Persist versioned, atomic native workspace-sync descriptors and durable seeds in `PAPERCLIP_HOME`, without credentials or a database migration. - Classify fresh, warm, replacement, and same-run-recovery workspace preparation explicitly; ambiguous lease/root/digest evidence fails closed. - Finalize native workspace export/merge after semantic result proposal and before run completion, with idempotent replay that never submits a second provider turn. - Surface legacy Codex workspace restoration failures instead of masking them, while preserving an earlier provider error when both fail. - Keep healthy reusable Daytona leases warm for legacy and native adapters, stamp finalized workspace generations, and retain existing cleanup behavior for per-turn or unhealthy leases. - Preserve Runner Codex's provider process/session across warm turns, including bounded post-terminal tail draining and exact authority rotation. - Add the exact paid `daytona-warm-continuity` matrix: - `legacy-codex × daytona × warm-three-turn` - `runner-codex × daytona × warm-three-turn` - Drive all three turns through the browser, verify ordered file continuity and stable lease/workspace/runtime identities, capture per-turn timings, and delete the sandbox immediately after assertions. - Document `pnpm test:e2e:runner -- --suite daytona-warm-continuity`; no package script was added. ## Verification - `pnpm typecheck` — passed, including migration safety (no migration added) - Focused server/runner Vitest coverage — 144 passed - `pnpm test:e2e:runner:unit` — 114 passed - `pnpm test:e2e:runner:typecheck` — passed - `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/paperclip-runner test:codex` — 66 passed, 1 helper ignored - `native-session-executor.test.ts` — 139 passed, including safe fail-closed cleanup after remote runner identity capture failure - Paid local browser acceptance, exact post-rebase Linux/amd64 runner binary: - Runner Codex — passed in 1.7m; 3 runs; lease outcomes `created, resumed, resumed`; 10/10 matchers; cleanup passed - Legacy Codex — passed in 2.7m; 3 runs; lease outcomes `created, resumed, resumed`; 10/10 matchers; cleanup passed - [Protected paid GitHub Actions campaign](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/actions/runs/34026735033) against `7da42a91b95fa7fb2df126668ef7e37afb3b2b9d` — passed 2/2: - Runner Codex — 3 runs; lease outcomes `created, resumed, resumed`; evidence and cleanup passed - Legacy Codex — 3 runs; lease outcomes `created, resumed, resumed`; evidence and cleanup passed - Merge/enforcement, S3 history, and Pages publication jobs passed - Paid result artifacts were scanned for both provider credentials; neither secret was present. - Current PR checks — 31 passed, 1 expected Storybook skip; Greptile 5/5; Superagent security scan passed - `git diff --check origin/master...HEAD` — passed - Confirmed no `package.json`, lockfile, migration, or SQL changes. ## Risks - Workspace synchronization now sits on the terminal-success path, so a remote export failure deliberately prevents false success. Retryable state retains its lease/seed; loss of the only unexported remote copy fails closed. - Warm provider reuse has strict identity and quiescence checks. Mismatched or ambiguous evidence blocks reuse rather than risking concurrent provider work. - The paid suite incurs Daytona and Codex cost only in the existing protected scheduled/manual workflow and explicitly destroys its sandbox after each cell. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex with GPT-5 agentic reasoning, repository inspection, real browser E2E execution, Rust/TypeScript test execution, and GitHub Actions diagnostics. ## Checklist - [x] I have included a thinking path that traces from project context to this change - [x] I have specified the model used (with version and capability details) - [x] I have checked ROADMAP.md and confirmed this PR does not duplicate planned core work - [x] I have searched GitHub for duplicate or related PRs and linked them above - [x] I have either linked an existing issue or described the issue in-PR - [x] I have not referenced internal/instance-local Paperclip issues or links - [x] My branch name contains no internal ticket id - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have documented the dedicated suite invocation without adding a package script - [x] I have considered and documented risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green on the current revision - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups on the current revision - [x] I will address all reviewer comments before requesting merge |

feat(ui): refine the chat-style task workflow (#11263)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - The issue detail view is the main place where people read work and guide agents. > - The chat-style task view needs clear messages, controls, properties, and document feedback. > - Dense metadata and disconnected controls make active work harder to scan. > - This pull request refines the existing chat-style task workflow across desktop and mobile layouts. > - The benefit is a clearer issue thread with faster access to the controls that guide work. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description **What existing behavior does this improve?** The change improves the chat-style issue detail view that was introduced in [#10606](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/10606) and expanded in [#10707](https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip/pull/10707). **Current behavior** The issue thread spreads task controls across the page. Agent-turn metadata competes with the message content. Document annotation comments use inline placement that limits the document reading area. The mobile composer can overlap the bottom navigation. **Proposed behavior** The issue view keeps the thread focused on message content. It moves supporting controls into the properties area, adds searchable assignment, restores the sub-task tree, docks document comments in a side gutter, and keeps the mobile composer clear of navigation. **Reason and benefit** People can scan active work faster and find task controls without leaving the issue. The layout also gives documents and mobile conversations more usable space. **Breaking changes** None. The change updates presentation and interaction behavior in the existing issue UI. ## What Changed - Refined task-chat message spacing, metadata, agent bubbles, and composer alignment. - Added searchable assignment and restored sub-task navigation in the properties pane. - Moved document annotation comments into a right-side gutter. - Kept the mobile composer above the auto-hiding bottom navigation. - Added and updated focused component tests for the changed interactions. ## Verification - `pnpm check:token-gates` - `TZ=UTC pnpm --filter @paperclipai/ui exec vitest run src/components/InlineEntitySelector.test.tsx src/components/IssueDocumentAnnotations.test.tsx src/components/IssueProperties.test.tsx src/components/TaskChatThread.test.tsx src/pages/IssueDetail.test.tsx` - The token gates report 3/3 clean. - The focused test run passes 124 tests in 5 files. - Visual snapshot baselines were not updated. This follows the `doc/design/DECISION-SHEET.md` entry "Per-change snapshot verification demoted to dormant (Jul 13 2026)." ## Risks - The changes affect several related issue-detail layouts. A browser review should cover desktop and mobile widths before merge. - The monitor-row test formats time in the host timezone. The verification command sets `TZ=UTC` to match CI. > For core feature work, check [`ROADMAP.md`](ROADMAP.md) first and discuss it in `#dev` before opening the PR. Feature PRs that overlap with planned core work may need to be redirected — check the roadmap first. See `CONTRIBUTING.md`. ## Model Used - OpenAI Codex with GPT-5. The context-window size is not exposed in this environment. The model used reasoning, repository tools, code execution, and GitHub tools. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [ ] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [ ] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> |

feat(secrets): add user-specific runtime secrets (#8825)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source app people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Agent runs often need provider credentials, API tokens, and other environment-bound secrets. > - Company-level secrets work for shared credentials, but they do not model values that should differ by human operator. > - Without a user-scoped model, a run can dispatch without knowing whether the responsible human has supplied the needed value. > - Paperclip also needs run attribution to make those user-scoped runtime checks deterministic and auditable. > - This pull request adds user-specific secret definitions, per-user values, environment bindings, responsible-user attribution, and runtime resolution gates. > - The benefit is that teams can define the secret once, let each user provide their own value, and block runs before dispatch when required user secrets or active definitions are unavailable. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Refs #224 Refs #6057 This PR implements user-specific secret support as a core secret-management capability rather than a one-off adapter setting. It is related to existing public work on company secrets UI and runtime secret refs, but is distinct because the value is owned by the responsible user and resolved at run dispatch time. Related PR search before opening found existing secrets work such as #1550, #8256, #8614, #8634, and #8647; none of those add the full user-secret definition/value/runtime gate covered here. ## What Changed - Added user-secret definitions and per-user "My secrets" values, keeping stored values out of access metadata. - Added `user_secret_ref` environment bindings and UI affordances to pick them alongside existing secret refs. - Added responsible-user runtime resolution so user-secret refs resolve against the human responsible for the run. - Added pre-dispatch missing-secret gates so runs fail before adapter dispatch when required user values are absent or definitions are inactive. - Added low-trust allowlist hardening for user-secret runtime access. - Added issue, routine, run, and agent API key responsible-user attribution and fail-closed dispatch behavior when attribution cannot be resolved. - Added denial-copy mapping so responsible-user authorization failures surface as actionable run outcomes instead of opaque setup failures. - Added OpenAPI documentation for the user-secret routes. - Rebases cleanly on current `master`; migrations were renumbered incrementally as `0128_user_specific_secrets`, `0129_agent_api_key_responsible_user`, and `0130_run_responsible_user_invariant` after upstream `0126`/`0127` migrations. - Removed previously committed local design screenshots so the PR contains code/docs/tests only. ## Verification - PASS: PR head `2527febd106bcf3ca264ca0da7fca491084192d6` is based on `paperclipai/paperclip:master`. - PASS: `git diff --check` - PASS: `git diff --name-only public/master...HEAD | rg '^(pnpm-lock\\.yaml|\\.github/workflows/|screenshots/)' || true` produced no files. - PASS: migration journal audit confirmed unique indexes through `130` with tail entries `0126_issue_comment_derived_attribution`, `0127_environment_custom_images_instance_scoped`, `0128_user_specific_secrets`, `0129_agent_api_key_responsible_user`, and `0130_run_responsible_user_invariant`. - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/ui typecheck` - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server typecheck` - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec vitest run src/__tests__/heartbeat-responsible-user-invariant.test.ts` - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec vitest run src/__tests__/heartbeat-active-run-output-watchdog.test.ts src/__tests__/heartbeat-stale-queue-invalidation.test.ts src/__tests__/heartbeat-workspace-finalize-branch.test.ts src/__tests__/issue-monitor-scheduler.test.ts` - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec vitest run src/__tests__/heartbeat-comment-wake-batching.test.ts src/__tests__/heartbeat-retry-scheduling.test.ts src/__tests__/heartbeat-accepted-plan-workspace-refresh.test.ts src/__tests__/heartbeat-plugin-environment.test.ts` - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec vitest run src/__tests__/low-trust-red-team-routes.test.ts` - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec vitest run src/__tests__/secrets-service.test.ts` (55 tests) - PASS: `pnpm vitest run server/src/__tests__/secrets-routes.test.ts server/src/__tests__/secrets-service.test.ts` (89 tests after final Greptile cleanup fixes) - PASS: `pnpm --filter @paperclipai/server exec vitest run src/__tests__/heartbeat-issue-liveness-escalation.test.ts` (17 tests after the final rebase CI fix) - PASS: focused server Vitest batches covering heartbeat recovery, project env, plugin env, routines, low-trust, pipelines, monitors, watchdog, and stale queue paths. - PASS: GitHub checks are green on `2527febd106bcf3ca264ca0da7fca491084192d6`, including Typecheck + Release Registry, Build, General tests, serialized server suites, e2e, Canary Dry Run, verify, security checks, and Greptile Review. - PASS: Greptile Review completed successfully on `2527febd106bcf3ca264ca0da7fca491084192d6` with Confidence Score 5/5, and GraphQL review-thread audit returned zero unresolved non-outdated threads. ## Risks - Runtime behavior now depends on a run having a correct responsible user; missing or incorrect responsibility assignment can block runs before adapter dispatch. - `user_secret_ref` bindings intentionally expose metadata without values, but UI/API callers may need to handle the new binding kind explicitly. - External secret providers and IAM policies are not automatically provisioned by this PR; operators still need to configure provider-side access for non-local vaults. - The PR is broad across db/shared/server/UI/runtime paths, so release validation should include both API and UI secret workflows before merge. - The migration renumbering is intentionally incremental after upstream migrations; the branch migrations use guarded column/table/index/constraint creation so users who tested the older draft numbering should not hit duplicate DDL for the existing objects. > For core feature work, check [`ROADMAP.md`](ROADMAP.md) first and discuss it in `#dev` before opening the PR. Feature PRs that overlap with planned core work may need to be redirected — check the roadmap first. See `CONTRIBUTING.md`. ## Model Used OpenAI Codex, GPT-5-based coding agent (`gpt-5`), Codex local adapter with shell/tool use and code execution. Context window and internal reasoning mode are not exposed by the runtime. `docs/...`, `fix/...`) and contains no internal Paperclip ticket id or instance-derived details - [x] I have run tests locally and they pass - [x] I have added or updated tests where applicable - [x] I have updated relevant documentation to reflect my changes - [x] I have considered and documented any risks above - [x] All Paperclip CI gates are green - [x] Greptile is 5/5 with no open P2s, recommendations, or follow-ups - [x] I will address all Greptile and reviewer comments before requesting merge --------- Co-authored-by: Paperclip <noreply@paperclip.ing> Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

[codex] Polish issue interaction selectors (#7668)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip is the open source control plane people use to manage AI agents for work. > - Issue-thread interactions are the board/agent handoff surface for structured decisions and confirmations. > - Accepted checkbox confirmations can include many selected labels, and inline selectors must stay usable across desktop and mobile devices. > - The existing accepted checkbox summary capped labels behind a static `+N more` chip, so operators could not inspect the hidden selections from the card. > - The inline selector also skipped search focus on coarse pointers, which made mobile selection slower and less predictable. > - This pull request makes the hidden checkbox selections expandable and restores search focus when the selector opens. > - The benefit is a more inspectable, faster interaction UI without changing the interaction API contract. ## Linked Issues or Issue Description Internal source work: [PAP-10488](/PAP/issues/PAP-10488), split from [PAP-10495](/PAP/issues/PAP-10495). ### Subsystem affected ui/ - React + Vite board UI ### Problem or motivation Accepted checkbox confirmations hide selected values behind a static count, and inline selector search does not focus on mobile/coarse pointer devices. That makes accepted interaction cards less inspectable and makes mobile selection slower than it needs to be. ### Proposed solution Make hidden accepted checkbox selections expandable/collapsible directly in the interaction card, and focus the inline selector search input whenever the selector opens, including coarse pointer environments. ### Alternatives considered Leaving the static `+N more` chip avoids UI state, but it keeps selected values hidden from operators. Only restoring desktop focus keeps the old mobile/coarse pointer gap, so the focus behavior should be consistent across pointer types. ### Roadmap alignment This is a small board UI polish change for the existing issue interaction surface. It does not add a new core roadmap capability or change the API contract. ## What Changed - Converted the accepted checkbox `+N more` chip into an expandable button with a `Show less` control. - Restored search input focus whenever `InlineEntitySelector` opens, including coarse pointer environments. - Updated focused component tests for the expanded selection summary and mobile/coarse-pointer focus path. - Adjusted the interaction card test harness to use the same `flushSync` act helper style used by nearby focused component tests. ## Verification - `pnpm exec vitest run ui/src/components/IssueThreadInteractionCard.test.tsx ui/src/components/InlineEntitySelector.test.tsx` passed in `~paperclipai/paperclip/.paperclip/worktrees/PAP-10495-interaction-selector-polish`. ## Risks - Low risk. The change is limited to UI state and focus behavior in existing components. - Restoring focus on coarse pointers may open a virtual keyboard on mobile, but that is intentional for the faster search workflow requested by this branch. > For core feature work, check [`ROADMAP.md`](ROADMAP.md) first and discuss it in `#dev` before opening the PR. Stabilize inline selector keyboard handling (#4617)
## Thinking Path > - Paperclip's board UI relies on compact selectors for frequent issue and agent edits. > - Inline selectors often live inside larger keyboard-aware surfaces such as composers and popovers. > - Arrow, enter, tab, and escape keys handled by the selector should not leak to parent document shortcuts. > - Stale company selection should also stay hidden until the company list confirms it is valid. > - This pull request tightens inline selector keyboard handling and adds regression coverage for stale company bootstrap behavior. > - The benefit is fewer accidental parent interactions and safer company-scoped UI initialization. ## What Changed - Added a stable empty `recentOptionIds` default so selector filtering does not get a new array every render. - Mirrored highlighted option state into a ref so Enter/Tab commits the current highlighted option reliably after keyboard navigation. - Stopped propagation for selector-owned navigation/commit/escape keys. - Added jsdom regressions for inline selector keyboard handling and CompanyProvider stale selection behavior. ## Verification - `pnpm exec vitest run ui/src/components/InlineEntitySelector.test.tsx ui/src/context/CompanyContext.test.tsx` - Targeted selector and CompanyProvider tests pass cleanly without React `act(...)` warnings. - Screenshots not attached: this is keyboard/state behavior covered by component tests. ## Risks - Low risk: changes are scoped to inline selector key handling and tests. The main behavior shift is intentionally preventing handled selector keys from reaching parent listeners. > For core feature work, check [`ROADMAP.md`](ROADMAP.md) first and discuss it in `#dev` before opening the PR.
